We have a radical plan brewing...
Hello everyone,
Other than comments on the main thread, I know we have been mysteriously silent. This IS NOT because we've given up hope and are resigned to the fairly obvious state that this particular campaign is headed for....
We have been working furiously on a rather radical plan. The key to this plan, though, is that you backers hold onto your pledges. The only way you will be charged any money here is if the campaign suddenly has a couple hundred thousand CDN dollars pumped into it, which, while technically not impossible, is rather unlikely.
So, all we can say is TRUST US - resist the urge to cancel your pledge, we have found a way to continue full steam ahead and you will learn of this plan approximately 12 hours before the end of this campaign (or earlier)....
Believers that hold onto their pledges will have the most to gain from this new strategy. Keep the faith everyone!!! :-)
Sincerely,
-iDGi and The Tower team

My best guess is, that this radical plan only wants us to keep our pledges because they want to have our email contacts to keep communicating with us after the C2 KS1 fails, for different routes or ideas of the funding. And I'm ok with that. :)
Btw this looks exactly like the C1 campaign. They wanted an amount, but in the end they were able to get somewhat more than 1/3 of that on their second launch. History seems to repeat itself.

Less then 24 hours now. Will be interesting to see what this radical plan is.

Just pledged. I got the first game for free on GOG and was extremely impressed by it. You have my support, all the way.

Don't understand how some people just cancel a pledge if it doesn't make it you dont get charged just leave your pledge as it is

You have my support. Whatever you have in mind, if it can bring The Tower to life, it's something I can definitely get behind.

Hmm... When you say "radical", are we talking the Socrates/Copernicus variety, or something more along the lines of Denver the Last Dinosaur (https://youtu.be/sLlibrF5DRM)? Well, you have my interest piqued either way. (^_^)
Definitely looking forward to that update!

Fantastic first game. Hope you find a way to pull through on the sequel =)

Great campaign, only will get better =]

Was a fan of the first game and backed instantly when I saw the "make ghost noises" option in the video.
I am curious to see what you guys are up to.

Just happened to come across this by accident and somehow missed the entire first game. Both look very interesting. Only did the "iDGi-1 EXECUTIVE" but at least it is someone adding a pledge and not cancelling.

By the way, here's what crossed my mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch…

Quietly here from the start (even if I could only now jump into the pledge I had my eye on [Consortium Knight!]), and will quietly (maybe) be here forever! Or well, until I die. Or whatever.
You get the idea.
ThomasN on February 17
Raised my pledge too. This should compensate for a few cancellations.

Here till the end with all of you :-)

Like the others I'm with you guys all the way.

I only just joined this awesome project but I hope this plan works because this would be the best game not just for me but for anyone who hates all the linearity in games which cause each enemy or obstacle to be overcome only one way
Nick Perrin on February 17
Increased my pledge. Do what you guys gotta do, looking forward to the end result.

Secret plans and all the other kind of fun. Perhaps you are trying a little too hard pushing the mystery aspect of your game, but I am still in.

You guys got me really curious now. Really glad to see you're not giving up on this campaign so fast, although you'll always have me and probably most backers on board if you do decide to run a second KS campaign.

Gonna stick around, I wanna play this!

Whatever you guys are up to, I'm in. This game needs to happen for the sake of the video game industry.

I'm holding on tight. You will have to pry that pledge from my cold dead fingers.

I still don't understand why this has struggled so, ok maybe KS fatigue and the initial dodgy state release of the other game, but hell, Consortium was the most ambitious of the small indie games and delivered and actually garnered good reviews from mainstream press. The devs here even desperately gave the first game away so people could try it. Seems that unless it's a yearly CoD type of release, no one is interested. For shame.

I'm staying around, curious about what you've got cooking. Just a word of caution (because I've seen that happen before): you are not allowed to chime in your own money. This would lead to the campaign being canceled by KS.
jezcentral on February 17
@Gwenael Talhouet Maybe KS should also list cancelled pledges in people's profile. :)

@Tim Logan : it's because some people don't want to have a failed/canceled project appearing in their profile. Don't ask me why, I find this absolutely absurd.
Tim Logan on February 17
Huh, I had no idea people actually removed their pledges from campaigns that looked like they weren't going to make it .. since nothing is then taken from their accounts, that makes no sense what so ever..
At any rate, I have no such intentions. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with =)

@Xavi P. : yup, it works too, not as well, but hey, the game's now in early access and playable. I backed it on their website by the way :p

In the worst case scenario you can do something similar to the GRIP campaign, open a web and ask for pledges there while prepare a beta of the game for the early access in steam.

You're turning this campaign into a spy adventure with secret plots, how can people not back a project that made its ks campaign as a foretaste of their game !
Morrandir on February 17
If people really cancel their pledges when it looks rough for a campaign, they apparently don't understand how KS works. :(
Just increased my pledge as well.

Cancelling before the end makes no sense anyway.
The creators can still send out updates from a project that didn't reach the goal, and in many cases on my end this was a handy reminder to re-back the re-launch.
(And this subsequently causes a big surge on day one from return backers, which makes the project more visible and appealing for all)
