      Definitely up for Thunderclap :)

I'd be happy to help out with the thunderclap

I don't even know what Thunderclap is, but after reading some of the comments below, I obviously wouldn't be interested. I don't use twitter.

I'd definitely be up for that thunderclap thingy, everything that helps :)
I would offer myself as a free work force to reduce your costs, but I'm afraid I have no talents whatsoever, so i'll just press my thumbs ^^

@iDGi: Great! Guess I'll be upgrading my pledge, then.

Seems like they are still taking their Joy, Uncle Jack will be proud!

Oh, and : edzieba: YES! It is similar in concept to that design, yes, except the methods used to harness the energy release are far more advanced. ;-)

We hear you on the Thunderclap thing, we'll try to make it as easy as possible for everyone to get involved, including those that either don't read or post comments. Watch for this in the next update.

Noah: The Backer Special Edition is a DLC for Consortium on Steam yes (or DRM free). So you are free to give the free copy of the main game to a friend, but install the Special Edition DLC for your copy.

So, does the developer commentary count as a separate game on Steam, or as DLC for the first game? Because I already have Consortium, and was going to give the extra copy to a friend, but I also would rather be able to listen to the commentary too, if possible.

All right if that all it is then I'm up for this Thunderclap thing.

@Tim Logan : thunderclap is something a bit like kickstarter, except that instead of asking for fund, you're asking for tweets. You set up a campaign, you ask for 500 tweets. If 500 people agrees to have an automatic tweet generated on their account, then the campaign, and, when the campaign ends, each people who have agreed to participate will automatically post a message on Twitter about the subject of the thunderclap campaign. If the goal isn't reached, it's like KS, nothing happens.
The goal with this is to create a surge of interest about the game, so that it will appears in Twitter as a popular topic and have a chance to reach new people. It infinitely more effective than having people posting messages in their own corner (but it shouldn't prevent you from doing so too :D) because of Twitter algorithm for what's popular.

As Michael just said, many of us have no idea what thunderclap means.
If it's not too much work I'd be up for it, but if it requires us to run around for 23 hours a day for the rest of the month in random towns and villages carrying signs saying "The endd is neigh!!! Support the consortium!!" I might be less up for it ;)
I second his motion to make an explanation of what it actually means. =)

    14. Michael Řežábek on

I think the issue is people don't know what Thunderclap is and what involves helping with it, maybe it would be a good thing to explain it in a next campaign update

    15. Gwenael Talhouet (Belmont1)

Just wanted to add a little thing about the thunderclap. In all kickstarter campaigns, the rate of people posting comments is very low, for a large portion they don't even read the comment section (I'm not saying they're wrong, it's just a fact). So of course there's not many people coming to say they'll participe to the thunderclap.
My thought on this, just do it (Shia Laboeuf agrees with this), maybe it won't reach 1000 people, but setting a goal at 500 may works, it's still better that nothing at all :p

I would definitely be willing to do the Thunderclap, but I think I must've overlooked the first time you mentioned it.
