About

Part 1. A Documentary ROOT TO LIBERATION: IBOGA, ADDICTION & THE LAW

Root to Liberation will shine a light on the crisis of the prescription-induced addiction epidemic, the failure of the current system to address it, as well as the solution that IBOGA, the entheogenic root bark from Central Africa represents for healing. We will follow practitioners, shamans, and patients from California to Cape Town.

Part 2. A TREATMENT PROVIDER DIRECTORY on www.awake.net

Because IBOGA and its extracts have been listed in the U.S. as a recreational drug and therefore illegal (anyone with any experience with this substance will confirm that it is the furthest thing from recreational) people need to travel abroad to obtain treatment in places like Mexico, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Canada, Portugal, Amsterdam or Africa. Our web directory gives you a starting point in your research by listing a small selection of treatment providers. It will be continuously updated as more treatment providers become available. Note: We do not have personal knowledge of all these clinics, they have been recommended by various people in the IBOGA community as being reliable. Please do your own research.

Part 3. A Phone Petition App to collect signatures to RESCHEDULE IBOGAINE.

Tragically, IBOGA’S extract Ibogaine has been deemed a Schedule One illegal substance in the US, and therefore most Americans have never heard of this life-saving medicine. The only way to remedy this situation is to change the law--similar to how the Marijuana laws were shifted. This app will allow us to create a viral movement to bring awareness and collect signatures very quickly, as the first step in getting this issue recognized by the legal system and put on the ballot. We hope that the urgency of the epidemic will influence many to sign, and legislators to fast-track a change in scheduling.

Part 4. An ongoing social media campaign IBOGA SAVES LIVES.

Find us at “#ibogasaveslives” on FB, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIN and Google+. We'll be posting regular articles, videos and updates on addiction, trauma, treatment, integration, medical research, legal issues, testimonials, ceremonial use, and best practices around IBOGA.

    Self-Reflected

Dr. Greg Dunn (artist and neuroscientist) and Dr. Brian Edwards (artist and applied physicist) created Self Reflected to elucidate the nature of human consciousness, bridging the connection between the mysterious three pound macroscopic brain and the microscopic behavior of neurons. Self Reflected offers an unprecedented insight of the brain into itself, revealing through a technique called reflective microetching the enormous scope of beautiful and delicately balanced neural choreographies designed to reflect what is occurring in our own minds as we observe this work of art. Self Reflected was created to remind us that the most marvelous machine in the known universe is at the core of our being and is the root of our shared humanity.
