I think we can all agree it is a good thing that this project madwe it through, whoever supported it. I am looking forward to seeing it progress. Do yourself a favour and don't put too much of a microscope on the development - just publish the milestones.

I only put a small amount in, but I like the whole kickstarter idea and this is a great project to give a kickstart to. Good luck and happy sailing :)

That graph is interesting and it certainly mitigates my assertion somewhat. I think what set me off is that these organizations are mentioned specifically by name and you just can't meaningfully do that with the 7000 other little guys like us. Sorry for clouding an otherwise cometic kickstarter project update. Please carry on.

Certainly - I thanked the community profusely yesterday :) These guys are our corporate sponsors and a piece of that reward was being a part of the project in somewhat more of an official capacity. This doesn't diminish the effort of the community in any way.

It is interesting though, If you go back and look at the funding graphs over time, each of these came in at a sort of critical moment for gaining momentum again. The big jumps here were each from one of the m:

No offense to the big individual backers you list there, but when I look at your sponsorship spread in tota, it was the little guys who "pushed you over the top", by a factor of more than 6 times, unless these guys did a bunch of little contributions, which I doubt.

Please clarify this if I'm wrong. I will gladly retract my comment.

Because if what I'm saying is true, these 4 companies contributed ~ $45k combined. Therefore your number #1 backer is _the community._ Especially when we compare the resources of a company like ThoughtWorks, too, this is analogous to them flipping a quarter at you. It's a token to them, no offense to ThoughtWorks: it's just true.
