Little operating system survey

Hey everyone,

We're trying to get a sense of what OS's people are going to want to use light table on so we can focus on the most important ones first. Mind filling in this survey? It's only one question :)

Am I missing something? The $15 pledge is for a license for light table, then a $30 pledge is for the T-shirt. But the T-shirt+license is $80?

    2. Creator Stephane Varin on May 26, 2012

Linux! Ubuntu, debian' redhat, opensuse...whatever man :-)

    3. Creator Nicholas on May 26, 2012

    6. Creator Paul Sondervan on May 26, 2012

I get a message: Sorry, but this form is no longer accepting submissions.
      That is rather quick.
      OS X Lion for me.

    7. Creator geoffrey jost on May 26, 2012

Survey didn't work for me either. Linux (Debian testing)

    8. Creator Lynn Snyder on May 26, 2012

The survey ended really early, but I use Mac OS X and FreeBSD.

    14. Creator progo on May 26, 2012

Yeah, I came in too late. (Gentoo)

    15. Creator AJ Bahnken on May 26, 2012

(Ubuntu, Archlinux, and Fedora for me)

    16. Creator AJ Bahnken on May 26, 2012

      Second the above.

    17. Creator Eric Ferraiuolo on May 26, 2012

Why is the survey already closed?

    18. Creator Jorge Llubia on May 26, 2012

    20. Creator Peter Tillemans on May 26, 2012

That was fast : got the mail at 02:03 and survey closed at 17:22. Well, Linux for me.

    21. Creator Lukas Nemec on May 26, 2012

Guys, don't pick up that much MacOS, europe users are doomed because mac will not run on virtualbox and we cant install it on our hardware either :D ... and still this is just preliminary for alpha stages I would guess, I'm sure betas (which can be used) will be for more OS's .. :)

    22. Creator JMatt Peterson on May 26, 2012

      I'm also seeing the error:

"Sorry, but this form is no longer accepting submissions."

in order of use: Mac, Linux, iOS, Windows.

    23. Creator todd on May 26, 2012

Had to leave feedback because the survey was closed. Can you open the survey again and provide the results?

      MacOSX for me.

    24. Creator Ben on May 26, 2012

    25. Creator Steve Wadsworth on May 26, 2012

That was a bit quick! I've only just seen the email and the survey is closed.
Anyway: Linux, Mac/iOS, Windows in that order.

    26. Creator Dave Everitt on May 26, 2012

I also got: "Sorry, but this form is no longer accepting submissions." Anyway, OS X and (possibly although I'm only just starting to think about coding on an iPad) iOS.

    27. Creator Sundeep on May 26, 2012

      Missed the survey

Windows and Linux Mint in the same order.

    28. Creator Lyosha Luffedelly on May 26, 2012

      Mac OS X 10.7.4

    29. Creator Colin Caine on May 26, 2012

Sources and binary packages (debian, fedora, arch) for linux :)

    30. Creator David Thompson on May 26, 2012

"Sorry, but this form is no longer accepting submissions."

      Also, Windows 7.

    31. Creator Mike on May 26, 2012

      OS X 10.7

    32. Creator Jonathan Barrett on May 26, 2012

Well that wasn't open for long. I didn't even think this was in question, and it raises another question: what of those who have pledged to receive early access that may now not have a compatible binary to play with?

    33. Creator Dipish on May 26, 2012

      Missed it... Windows & Ubuntu

    34. Creator Alan Plum on May 26, 2012

Linux. Going by what most programmers working with the languages you plan to support initially seem to be using, I'd guess *nix support should be the initial focus, i.e. Linux and MacOS X.

    35. Creator leDamien on May 26, 2012

      Android would be great !

    36. Creator Tom Byers on May 26, 2012

Missed it but Mac OSX and Ubuntu for me.

    37. Creator Riccardo Attilio Galli on May 26, 2012

      + GNU/Linux (arch/ubuntu/fedora)

    38. Creator Dieter Verschueren on May 26, 2012

Missed it as well. Windows 8 for me!

    39. Creator Kouprianov Maxim on May 26, 2012

      Closed :(
      + Mac OS X

    40. Creator Sven Bendel on May 26, 2012

Already closed? :( Count me in for Linux (esp. Ubuntu).

    41. Creator David Adrian on May 26, 2012

Disappointed that the vote has already closed and furthermore how the vote came out.
That Ubuntu is above Linux - other was to be expected, though silly. But please! don't start optimizing the application for a single linux distribution.

      +Linux (Arch Linux)

    42. Creator Mattias Petter Johansson on May 26, 2012

Closed. Heh, influence fail. It's okay this time I guess, but don't make it a habit, remember that some people paid money to influence.

    43. Creator Ian Cannings on May 26, 2012

Big Fail. Likewise - oops, woke up, read email, clicked, oops, US only survey then ;-) - Windows, OS X, Linux.

    44. Creator Oli Wright on May 26, 2012

Yep, survey closed. Failcakes. Windows, OS X, Android, Linux in preference order methinks.

    45. Creator Roland Ütücüyan on May 26, 2012

2000 limit + opening form at 3 in the night = no votes for me...
Anyway, another gentoo linux user here. Would also be happy with Android - the horsepower is actually out there nowadays...

    46. Creator Chris Bearcroft on May 26, 2012

Windows, OS X and Linux for me.

    47. Creator Stephen Angell on May 26, 2012

+1 for windows - though looking at the results I see I am in the minority :-)

    48. Creator Stephen Feyrer on May 26, 2012

      Gentoo Linux, new survey please.
