I started modeling and sculpting my own 3D chibi anime miniatures during Christmas time in 2018. The journey that brought me to this point was that I had already collected all of the sets of chibi minis I could find on the market to paint for my D&D campaign, but I found out that the company I was following would no longer be making minis.
I love playing D&D, but once I had set my sights on a more anime style, the usual minis just wouldn't cut it. The first 5 minis in the Starter Pack are actually the original 5 players' characters in the campaign I'm currently running.
There are a few reasons I'm running this campaign. The first is that I invested some start up funds in getting together the illustrations for these ten. I plan to invest funds from this campaign into more illustrations for future projects.
The second reason is that I plan to look into more tools like a drawing tablet, zBrush, which I see many others in the space using with amazing results, and increased marketing efforts to build a social media presence I can go to for ideas and inspiration.
My final reason for running this project is a very long way out, but I've been inspired by fantasy board games that use minis like these and I'd like to one day make my own. If I can continue to create models and illustrations, it will be that much easier to convert them into collectible characters.
Please Note: This campaign IS NOT for a boardgame, and it IS NOT for physical merchandise. The rewards include digital .STL files for 3D printing and .PNG files for digital art.
Magnetic Modular Japanese Gate Wall
I created this Japanese Gate set to appeal to anyone-not just fans of minis. Each piece is designed with a hole that you can drop a magnet in before gluing the roof on.

*Miniature for scale. I did create this miniature; she's available for Free on Thingiverse.
*Miniatures for scale. Credit goes to WizKids (I think that's the name of the official D&D minis...)
The Dreaded Wraith!
I'm also adding this Wraith mini to the $20 character tier.

Everyone who pledges $20 will get the Four Swordmasters of Succellos--whether or not the Kickstarter is a success.

Now, Let's Get To The Heroes!
Pirate Warlock Sereva:
Sereva comes from a family of very wealthy merchants, but her own father had her kidnapped by pirates at a young age for acting too free spirited; a quality he feared in Sereva’s mother.
Rather than act like a damsel in peril, Sereva put her leadership skills and business savvy to work and was able to become the captain of the pirates who once captured her.
Sereva derives her magical abilities from a mermaid spirit she made a pact with out at sea and believes she is destined to find the magical item said to control the very waves: The Heart of the Sea.
Steadfast Fighter Cimon:
From the northern reaches of Andraste, Cimon serves the Kingdom of the walled city of Locaste with great pride. The brother of an exiled fortune teller and a dragon master, he grew up struggling to make an honorable name for his family.
Cimon’s blue scimitars hold a secret. Sent to him by his mysterious brother, he continues to find clues about his own path, and that of his family.
The swords themselves aren’t the only piece of the puzzle. The note that came with them included writing from his brother, but also writing from an unidentified source.
Orphan Rogue Mahi:
Mahi is a young wood elf who was orphaned at a very young age. Not knowing her parents, she grew up feeling isolated and was met with great hardship even trying to find daily meals.
Naturally, she honed her skills to ensure her survival. Stealing food meant living another day, and this is what drove her forward.
Mahi enrolled in the military and protects her kingdom to achieve her two simple goals: Get 3 square meals a day and find friends to share them with.
Alice of Ravens:
Alice grew up in a large family with five older siblings. Being the youngest in the bunch, she found herself overshadowed by their vast range of talents.
Once her family moved from the magical floating city of
Eukalade to the non-magical walled city of Locaste, Alice dearly missed the days she could cast magic freely.
She strategically joined the military to gain access to the few areas of the walled city where magic was permitted and began to master her techniques with her raven staff in hand.
Nature's Protector Odessa:
Odessa spent her childhood growing up within Locaste’s thirty walls. Coming from a family of bakers, fighting was never in her blood.
She got a taste for protecting others when a large, rabid dog broke loose and started attacking some nearby children.
Following her faith of the goddess Archena, Odessa decided on her paladin oaths and set forth to make the country safer for all.
Lolita Vampire Lobelia:
Little is known about Lobelia the vampire; she seems to come and go as she pleases. It is rumored that she’s a fearsome fighter, but nobody seems to be able to provide an eye-witness account.
In truth, this playful devil loves to mess around with her “toys”—a word she uses to describe the unsuspecting victims of her games.
Her parasol keeps her safe from the sun’s harsh rays, but she’ll use it as a masterful weapon when the need arises.
Deadly Smile Ellie:
Ellie suffered her first defeat at the age of three when her entire family was murdered by bandits. Sadness was never an option for her; there was one lesson to learn.
“The strongest are the killers, and they’re the ones that survive.”
This mantra fueled her every decision and she soon found herself standing atop a metaphorical mountain of the hundreds of lives she had taken.
“You certainly look strong. Let’s play a little...”
Plague Doctor Rust:
If you’ve ever received treatment from Rust, consider yourself among the lucky ones. Rumors of this mysterious, seemingly decrepit man are many and varied, but it’s agreed that anyone who sees the shadows that follow him will die.
Rust will not talk to you, and it’s unknown if he’s even able to speak at all. He’s been seen deep in speechless conversation with small animals and birds, but one has to wonder if he looks upon them with evil intentions.
Just what is in those potions of his?
Healing Scripture Basil:
Basil: the gentle angel sent from the heavens. His calm demeanor is certain to put you at ease as he remedies your ailments with his powerful healing magic, but you can’t help but wonder what his personal goals might actually be.
While the young angel appears to be an ally of the kingdom, he’s said to have been seen healing the crown’s enemies. Is he just so kind that he’s willing to heal those who are good and evil, or is there something deeper behind his actions?
“I’ve ensured you’ll all survive, but I must ask that you be more careful in the future.”
Rain of Fire Kress:
Kress grew up in the western country of Robur. Here, his family has been stationed on the giant wall called the Thievesguard, where their sworn duty is to keep the thieves of the country Genii from invading their allied nation of Lenus.
Kress understands the importance of his duty on the wall, but what he truly wants is a change of scene. Channeling his innate magic to bring fire to the skies with his bright arrows, Kress tries his best to stay distracted from boredom.
“The wall’s greatest strength is it’s ability to stand still forever—my greatest disappointment.”
Please note that I do not already have the illustrations completed for the stretch goals, as I'm relying on the success of this project to finance them. On the launch of this campaign, I've finished 4/6 of my originally planned stretch goal models in multiple poses, and I'm working on the final 2.
If the project surpasses all of my stretch goals, I will come up with more.

Special thanks to my girlfriend Alex for her fantastic mini painting work!
Risks and challenges
The format of providing 3D-printable digital files means minimal risk for me. At the time of launch, the only possible risks I see pertain to the stretch goals. I have 4 of them sculpted already, but I am relying on the success of this project before investing in illustrations, so timelines are a little more up in the air on those.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
