Hymn For Her: New CD & banana hot sauce
We are a band of 2, a family of 3, traveling the lands sharing our music. Our last album, Lucy & Wayne and THE amAIRican STREAM was recorded in our 16 foot 1961 Bambi Airstream, which was also our home for 2 years. Click here to see a video for the track, FIDDLESTIX. ("high-octane, fruit jar firewater and trash can symphony of demented country blues and punk attitude turned up to 11") We spent the past two years on the road in the US and overseas supporting the record and working on new material. We play a cigar box guitar, banjo, acoustic guitars, kick drum and high-hat, harmonica and we both sing a lot. Here's another video from a live performance at Music City Roots in Nashville, TN.
We recently recorded a new CD in Detroit, MI. 'Hymn For Her Presents . . . Lucy & Wayne's Smokin Flames', which will be released in the Spring of 2013. It will be dedicated to our beloved dog, Pokey, aka Pokey Joe,
(who always wore his seatbelt while on tour) our companion for 14 years. This summer, he became our Spirit Dog.
We will also be putting out a hot sauce (same name as album) that will feature bananas and jalapenos. mmm. A new Orlando, FL company (Armando y Jorges Orlandonian hot sauce) have been mixing, tasting and testing with us to get the perfect flavors that will rock like the record. We can't wait to get the new music and hot sauce in your ears and mouths. What we're asking for as a goal would put a dent in our costs. Your funding for this project will help tremendously!
For the CD, costs include: recording, mixing, mastering, manufacturing and shipping. For the Hot Sauce, costs include: ingredients, bottles, labels, production and shipping. We are hiring a publicist and radio promotor to spread the music to the people. Please share this with everyone you know who loves (or could love) our music. Thank you for believing in us. Inspire til you expire. With much gratitude and love in our hearts, Lucy & Wayne
(Here's 99.5% of what the hot sauce label will look like):
Risks and challenges
Your only risk is finding more space in your ipod or CD rack for Hymn For Her music and the indecision of what foods NOT to put our banana hot sauce on.
(Wayne even puts it on his Captain Crunch.)
