SKATEBOARDS DESIGNED WITH 21st CENTURY TECHNOLOGY
A while ago we started building skateboards for ourselves using leftover materials from our surfboard manufacturing process. A lot of our friends saw them and wanted one for themselves. They also pushed us to make this project a reality and offer it to you. Our decks are built with foam, fiber and resin – just like a surfboard. Now we are here on Kickstarter and asking for your help to make this project a reality.
10 DIFFERENT COLOR OPTIONS FOR ALL MODELS

Due to the production process, the color intensity is unique in every board, making your board your very own.
NATURE'S SWEETEST DESIGN - THE HONEYCOMB
One of the coolest and most intriguing elements of our skateboards is the unique deck - a signature honeycomb pattern enhanced with radiating customizable colors that evoke an eye catching effect. We implemented this deck using our patented and award winning 3D-Glassing™ Technology that bonds both sides of the deck together.

SPECIAL REINFORCEMENTS MAKE IT STRONG
The way we build our surfboards is based on the same concept shown here. We call it 3D-Glassing™ Technology, and it connects both sides of the skateboard deck through its core.
All the decks feature reinforcements around the rails that help with impact forces. They also feature integrated tail and nose guards that help against nose and tail wear. The large guards are made from a solid 2-part urethane hard plastic. Tests have shown that these actually hold up better than wood. The breaking strength of our boards is also equal to or better than a wood deck. All skate decks are built with a closed cell high density PET foam, triaxial fiberglass and high quality epoxy resin.

THREE STUNNING MODELS
THE CRILLA - MICRO CRUISER
The Crilla is a micro cruiser that fits in your backpack: It has a square kick-tail that allows you to carve around, do tricks, and ollie up and down sidewalks. A little concave allows you to do 360 flips and whatever else you want to do. Our riders have been doing some gnarly tricks on them at the local skateparks. It is the perfect fit to cruise around your campus with your friends, to the beach, through traffic, in parking lots and is even great for traveling. The deck features an integrated tail and nose protector.

BEACH LEECH - MINI CRUISER
The Beach Leech is a retro shape Mini Cruiser with a perfect kick-tail for tight cruising turns and pulling tricks. We have even seen people bombing some hills on it. The diamond tail is unique compared to other wood cruisers out on the market, as it features a tail pocket where your back foot fits snug in. The deck features an integrated tail and nose protector.

...LOST ENTERPRISES BEACH LEECH
We also have teamed up with ...Lost Surfboards and ...Lost Enterprises to bring you a branded ...Lost Beach Leech by one of most popular surfboard shapers these days: Matt "Mayhem" Biolos. This skatedeck will come also in all 10 different color options.
THE ANGLER - DOWNHILL & FREERIDE LONGBOARD
The Angler is a performance oriented freeride and downhill longboard. This So Cal inspired board has a simple retro shape mixed up with some new school elements. It features twice the amount of fiberglass when it comes to thicknes. It‘s stiff and there is no torsional flex to keep you happy while bombing mountains, slidin‘ curves or mobbing down to the beach. This board features raised wheel flares to give you a reference point, so that you know where you’re going. The cereal bowl style tail keeps the concave wrapping through the whole tail to give you that perfect pocket for ollies. The deck features integrated tail and nose protectors.

HYDROFLEX HANDPLANES
Hydroflex Handplanes are made using recycled fiberglass from our surfboard production and foam core leftovers from our skateboard production. They feature a decent nose to tail rocker and a full single concave through the center. They also have a hard edge from tip to tail to help with control in the wave. The strap will be made from recycled wetsuits.

LIMITED - CUSTOM SKATEBOARD MOLDS
Limited to 5 items. You can have your own mold. You can send us a CAD file or work together with our engineer, David Bucknell to create your ideal deck. We will create the mold for you and we manufacture the first 10 decks for free. The best part: You can place your logo on it. THE MOLD WILL BE OUR PROPERTY. ALSO PLEASE NOTE SOME DESIGN RESTRICTIONS APPLY BASED ON LIMITATION OF MATERIAL SIZE AND ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP

Your support will help us fund the first few production runs of Hydroflex Skateboards. Our $15,000 funding goal will cover the expensive tooling and setup costs for producing the components, raw materials, hardware, and setting up our facility in Southern California. All decks will be made 100% in the USA.

Risiken und Herausforderungen
We at Hydroflex, with employees, families and friends support, have been developing board sport products for over a decade. After years of testing and sourcing, reliable manufacturing processes have been finalized. We have come to Kickstarter at the last stages of our product's launch which is almost ready.
We have proven our capabilities getting to this stage and beyound through a track record of manufacturing, marketing and selling other board sport products. Our products have been recognized by the industry with design awards. For our skate decks, independent skateboard journals have tested and confirmed the product quality and function.
With that said, every new product launch has risks and challenges. Some of the challenges we face will be up-scaling production from prototyping into full production capabilities. We have put together a plan to do this that we feel is realistic and attainable. Also we have already secured sources for our raw materials and have been in constant contact with these suppliers about of needs, which we feel they can fulfill. However, there is always a risk/challenge we must overcome.
The risks have also been minimized by the extensive prototyping and testing we have done. One risk is not being able to acquire raw materials in a timely manner to build the molding and products themselves, but we feel this is a low risk.
Backers will be kept informed of the stages of development and when we will ship their boards.
