Adepticon next weekend!

Posted by Hyacinth Games (Creator)

Hi everyone!

Just a quick update this time.

We have shipped out about half of the rulebooks, and all models should have been shipped last month. Please get in touch if you are missing models, especially anything prior to Reclaimers. I am VERY happy to have these books going out, and we sincerely hope that you'll like it, and want to play the game. Please let us know what you like, and what you don't like once its in your hands.

We will be at Adepticon, next weekend ( and will have a list of who we haven't sent rulebooks to yet, and if you're still waiting for one, we can hand it to you there.

Come and check us out in the Harry Carrey ballroom, and we'll run you through a demo or two!

If you have not gotten something yet, especially if you were waiting for something other than Reclaimers, please get in touch ASAP! Reclaimers all went out by the start of March, so if you're out of the states, please give them a little time.

Books are trickling out, as fast as Matt can package them.

We're gearing up for Adepticon, and we'll be sending out coupon codes after that to anyone who ordered a hardcover.

It's been a bumpy road and we appreciate all of your patience, and hope that you like the final product that you hall helped create through your generous backing!

Softcover books are here! Shipping news, and final kickstarter fulfillment question.

Posted by Hyacinth Games (Creator)

The first printing of softcover rulebooks has arrived! We're really pleased with how it came out, and we think you'll really like it, once you get your hands on it.

Matt has been shipping packages over the last few weeks, and has most of the Reclaimers out. He is now starting on the process of shipping the softcover books to backers. Sometime soon after, we will be sending out your $60 codes for our web store, but we're trying to figure out the best way to fulfill that final stage of this kickstarter. We can't afford a "run on the bank" so to speak with only 45 days or so until Adepticon, as that would leave us with no stock for our biggest convention of the year.

We are trying to figure out what the best course of action would be, and we'd love your input. Should we trickle codes out now little by little, wait until after Adepticon (April 3rd-6th) when we have a little more cash on hand and can take the hit, or perhaps something else that we haven't considered yet?

Curse of the Reclaimers... lifted?

So after nearly 5 million years (ok, actually just a year and a half), numerous delays, problems up the wazoo, multiple shipping delays, 2 lost packages, and countless headaches later...

The Reclaimers are here!

We will be shipping those this week to anyone who ordered them. If your address has been updated, please let us know!

Rulebook is DONE!

So after a tremendous amount of effort, we have finally completed the core rulebook! If you purchased it, we will be sending you a download code for the PDF by tomorrow, and we will be sending out printed copies once the printer gets it back to us, which we anticipate being about a month. This is a small format softcover book, and if you ordered the hardcover, we will be shipping you the softcover, a download code for the PDF, AND a $60 coupon for our site next month. You can hold on to that code for when we eventually are able to print the hardcover (we will need to gather a considerable amount of money), or use it for anything else we have on our site. To be perfectly honest, we greatly over-extended ourselves on this Kickstarter, but we hope that the inclusion of the free softcover book (which has a retail price of $20), and the PDF will help make the wait worth it to all of you.

As a new company, we want to really thank you so much for your patience and understanding as we worked to overcome this ambitious task, and we hope that you'll enjoy playing Wreck Age as much as we enjoyed making it.

We ask that if you wish to share copies of the PDF with others, that you contact us for a version that has a splash page indicating that this practice is officially sanctioned by us. Obviously, if you know friends that are interested, we're firm believers of the "try before you buy" concept, which is why we are publishing under a Creative Commons license.

PDFs will be going up on Drive Thru RPG and on several other sites (including our own) around the end of the week.

Thanks again for believing in, having patience with, and supporting us.
