Frequently Asked Questions
Yes you can! To add a plain 3-day pass (just the ticket, no t-shirt, lapel pin, etc), just add $55 to the pledge amount at any reward level and send us a message to let us know. We will make a note in your account that you want an extra 3-day pass. This also works for reward levels that don't have a 3-day pass already included. For example, you can add a 3-day pass to the Arcane Arts level by pledging at least $130.Last updated:
Yes! You will need to pledge the total amount of the two packages, and then send us a message to let us know this is your intent. For example, if you want to get two VIP packages, pledge at least $250, and let us know it is for two VIP packages so you get two of everything that is in the package - two 3-day passes, two VIP party tickets, two lapel pins, two t-shirts, etc.
You can do this for any level, but if it's a limited level, make sure the number left is enough to accommodate your request. (If there is only 1 of 7 left in that reward level, you can't get two.)Last updated:
Click “Manage Your Pledge.” Enter a new amount in the pledge amount box. Note that you are not adding to your existing pledge; the amount you enter will be the total amount collected if the project is successfully funded. So, if you already pledged $25 for the t-shirt, but you want to up your pledge to $90 for the 3-Day Deluxe level, enter $90 in the box and select the 3-Day Deluxe reward.Last updated:
Some Film Festivals sell tickets separately for each film showing. WE DON'T DO THAT! Since we are more of a convention-style event with films, panel discussions, vendors, etc., our 3-Day festival passes include access to ALL MAIN PROGRAMMING in all three of our auditoriums in the historic 1926 Hollywood Theatre from Friday evening to Sunday night. You can choose which programming you want to watch or take part in, and even sneak from one auditorium to another to see what awesome things are happening at the same time. You can get one of these passes at the $90 level, the $125 VIP level (which also includes access to our catered VIP reception, where you can mingle with the festival guests), and at most higher levels. Just look for the words "3-Day Pass" in the level descriptions.
The VIP Party and the Cthulhu Prayer Breakfast (TBA) are not included with the vanilla 3-Day Pass, but all regular programming is. To get into the VIP party, pledge at the $125 level or many of the higher levels which specify that the VIP party is included.Last updated:
Will Festival passes/tickets be on sale after the Kickstarter campaign ends? How much will they cost?
If festival passes ("3-Day Pass") do not sell out during the Kickstarter, the remaining 3-Day Passes will go on sale through the Hollywood Theatre box office and web site at $55 for a limited time. These passes will include access to all normal festival programming, but will not include any additional merchandise or events (such as T-shirts, lapel pins, gaming events, the VIP party, or the Cthulhu Prayer Breakfast (TBA)).
We've structured our Kickstarter levels to provide excellent value, with unique supporter merchandise and festival experiences, to reward you for supporting our Kickstarter *before* tickets go on sale - to give you more bang for your buck - because it is a huge help in covering our upfront expenses (With normal ticket sales, we don't get paid until *after* the festival is over).
The ONLY WAY to get our limited edition glow-in-the-dark Squidgate Sigil T-shirt or lapel pin (and many of the other items shown here) is by pledging at the appropriate Kickstarter levels. These items will not be on sale at the festival.
VIP PASSES - we expect all the VIP party tickets to sell out through the Kickstarter, so if you want to attend the catered VIP reception and mingle with our festival guests, before the festival opens to the public, be sure to pledge at the $125 level (or one of the higher levels that include VIP tickets) before they sell out!Last updated:
Absolutely not! For those of you who are new to Kickstarter, it's actually quite a cool program! When you pledge a certain amount to any project, you're promising to make a donation, in exchange for certain rewards. Your payment method only gets charged if our campaign is successful, at the end of the campaign (March 13). If we don't receive enough pledges to make our goal, you are never charged a dime. If we don't make our funding, life will suck for us, but for you there is really no risk. That's the beauty of Kickstarter's "all or nothing" funding paradigm.Last updated:
