ONCE THIS CAMPAIGN IS OVER PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO ORDER THE BOOKS - thank you!
We love photobooks: how they feel, the way they smell.
If we could eat them up, we would.
The problem is, those seriously beautiful photobooks are sometimes...well, a little too serious. As if designed only for those in the know.
Don't get us wrong. We collect those books too. But at the same time, there are hundreds of projects by great photographers that don't make it into book form because the subject is not considered serious enough, or the photographer doesn't have the funds, or heaven forbid, the work is not considered arty enough.
We want to change that.
Help us promote small-but-great projects that don't try and change the world or demand a solo show in a pure white gallery or which are about the misery of war.
Choose from one of our rewards below and you'll be the first to receive the books for less than in the shops and you'll help give this series the kickstart it needs.
Don't be fooled by the mini-mini-ness. These books took us AGES to develop. They are as seriously beautiful as any large coffee table book: covers are special uncoated paper, two different stocks inside, all main colours are pantones, titles are debossed not printed. Blah, blah... you get it, we care about how they are made!
We are Hoxton Mini Press.
A small indie art book publisher from East London.
3 people, two dogs and a lot of hope.
Two years ago we started making small books just about East London. You helped us start and we have now run two 100% successful kickstarter campaigns. We now sell our books in MOMA (NYC), Tate Modern (London) as well as in The Pompidou Centre (Paris) and Bonjour Records (Tokyo) and in 13 countries around the world.
We have now published 9 books in the East London Photo Stories series, as well as 3 illustrated books and 2 coffee table books, with another one, East London Food, coming out later this month.
This new series is hugely significant for us, as it's our first which ventures outside of East London... and we're a little scared but also very excited about this. Ultimately, our goal is to make books that are both beautiful AND affordable. Books that honour great photography but bring the images to a wider audience.

Risks and challenges
There's always a chance this could go up in smoke. i.e. you'll give us money and we'll donate it to a drug cartel. There's also a chance we'll be hit by a bus or discover we have 3 love-children that need sending to private school. But we've alraedy done two kickstarter projects and not failed yet. We also don't do this for the money, we do it because it's fun and we love great books. So if you like it, I reckon it's a very good bet. And of course, we'll be hugely grateful.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
