Help MC Lars independently finish & release his third album "Lars Attacks!", intellectual hip-hop for the punk rock set.
Once upon a time, I wrote a bunch of rap songs in my dorm room. This led to people hearing about me on the internet and some awesome tours with some awesome bands. I make what I call post-punk laptop rap, a subgenre of indie hip-hop I created for those who love the energy of punk rock and the intellect of classic groups like Public Enemy.
I started my third album "Lars Attacks!" in the summer of 2009. I've been working nonstop on it since then and it is almost finished. I want this CD to sound as awesome as possible and the money I'm trying to raise will pay for the clear and beautiful mixing and mastering of the 25 plus songs I have demoed. There are many talented collaborators on this album, including Sage Francis and Mac Lethal, and I promise you guys are going to flip out when you hear the new stuff!! I'm so proud of it, fifteen of the new songs are going to be on the new album and the rest will be on exclusive Warped Tour mixtape that you will also get as a thank you for your support
I am offering a lot of amazing incentives with this campaign. You can be a listed percussion performer on the album and record something for a track, have me write a customized song for you, get the original rhyme book that I wrote the album in, get the microphone I recorded with or even get the actual autographed laptop with which I recorded the album. Damn son!!
As an artist, it's always very important for me to have complete artistic control. I am appealing to you, the fans, to make this possible. Without your help I could not do it. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything and am very excited for you to finally hear the album! Much love!!
Peace and thanks from your DIY rapper homie,
