"Honovi", meaning "Strong Deer" in Hopi, is an exploration of my identity as both an indigenous and white woman through my illustrations.
How would you like to make a fashion statement sharing your love for Hopi people and looking great while doing it? The apparel will provide a modern introduction to indigenous culture with a heavier focus on the Hopi tribe, creating an interest without placing undue pressure of automatic racism or prejudice. It is a unique way to spark an interest in Hopi culture, especially for the youth of our generation.
I am using this avenue to publicize the brand before launch. I am incredibly focused on making the designs and products have a strong visual impact on others. I also have produced samples for quality check and assurance.
I am requesting funds to:
- Produce other product samples
- Setup an online store outlet
- Product marketing and advertising
- Produce new artwork and designs.
I appreciate your help in making this success.
I hope you love these products as much as I do!
Don't worry, be Hopi!

Risks and challenges
The only challenges in completing this project are mass production costs and product production. I simply do not have enough funding to make everything I want to make and being a full time student I do not have the time to make everything myself. I need to pay companies to create them for me. If I meet my goal, I can fund these companies and ensure these products get out into the world via an online store.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
