Levare will be produced using 3D Computer Graphics, which is the dominant medium for animation today. It is used by many successful animation studios, including Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks. It combines the rich texture and lighting of stop-motion animation, with the fluidity and detail of hand drawn animation, and allows dynamic effects impossible with any other medium.
It will have a duration of about 20 minutes, but we can't be certain until the animatic is completed.
Levare will not be in stereoscopic 3D.
The Restricted Gallery is an online gallery on Levare’s official website that contains a selection of artwork not accessible by the general public. All backers will be granted access to it.
You will receive a password for the Restricted Gallery at the time of your pledge.
The Levare Pre-production Art Book titled The Art of Levare, is an 8 x 10” (20 x 25 cm) landscape book featuring an extensive collection of the art and design work produced during Pre-production. It will be approximately 50-100 pages. It will be available in premium paper Hard Cover and Soft Cover, as well as a digital PDF.
The collection of artwork featured is dependent on the funding goal reached, so if we only reach our primary goal, storyboards and colour scripts, for example, will not be included.
Those receiving Soft Cover or Hard Cover copies will have it signed by key Pre-production crew.
All artwork featured in the Art Book will be available as options for the Limited Edition Signed Artwork Prints. Each artwork will be available in three (3) sizes: small, medium and large. There will only be nine (9) small prints, six (6) medium prints, and (3) large prints of each artwork. For example: "Artwork A" will have 9 small prints, 6 medium prints, and 3 large prints only.
Printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Photo Rag 308 art paper, with archival pigmented inksets, designed for long term image stability, these giclée fine art prints are made using the finest materials available to ensure longevity.
Each artwork has a 30 mm border added to include production and print information and the signatures of the artists who created it.
An additional border is added by the printers to ensure the protection of the area to be displayed.
Size..........Artwork....................Border for Signature......Border for Printing
Small........163 x 92 mm............+ 30 mm........................+ 15 mm
Medium....245 x 138 mm..........+ 30 mm........................+ 15 mm
Large........367 x 207 mm..........+ 30 mm........................+ 15 mm
“Special Thanks” and “Associate Producer” credits will appear as both acknowledgements in the Art Book when it is published, and in the rolling credits of the final film.
The “Associate Producer” credit will also appear on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb.com) under “Full Cast and Crew” for Levare.
Become an official Levare crew member with an official crew T-shirt. With the signature of key Pre-production crew, it will be available in American Apparel standard fit T-shirt (S-3XL) and Girly Fit T-shirt (S-2XL).
You will be asked to provide your T-shirt style and size in a questionnaire that will be sent when the Kickstarter campaign is successfully funded.
A black and white caricature of you will be created and feature as a photograph on the set of the film.
You will have several of options regarding the nature of your “cameo”, including your relationship with Valentino, when and where the photograph was taken, and who will feature in it. You may wish to feature with a prominent figure in history, with whom Valentino was acquainted, such as George Méliès or the Wright Brothers. Details regarding the options are still to come.
You will be asked to select your options for the “cameo” in a questionnaire that will be sent when the Kickstarter campaign is successfully funded.
You will need to provide us with two (2) current photos of yourself; a full body shot, and a face close up, from which your caricature is to be created. Only one cameo can be created per backer/pledge.
The illustration will feature in the Art Book and you will receive a signed artwork print copy.
The Art Book will be completed around March 2015, but it depends on the funding goal we reach.
If we reach our primary goal, the book could be completed in about 6 months. If we reach our final stretch goal, it could be completed in about 12 months, and will feature more artwork.
If we reach our final stretch goal, the Test Screening will be around May 2015. If we only reach our primary goal, it may be years before the animatic is completed and a test screening is held.
