It is really so much more than an appointment setting app. Being able to track progress with your families on things like food storage, emergency prep, FHE as well as provide useful info like the First Presidency Message each month, RS Lessons, Priesthood blessing info etc. etc. Also, being able to have all their birthdays, baptism days, sealing days etc help give us opportunities to contact our families, reach out and express our happiness that they are members of the church and reinforce the special nature of the covenants that they have made. There is a lot of content that will be available through the app. When you send the message to your leadership for reporting you have the option to include much more than "Did my hometeaching/visiting teaching." You will have the option to include updates on the things I mentioned above. How great would it be for the Ward to know that only 15% of the members have any emergency prep. This way they could take that info and schedule a ward e-prep activity. RS canning nights, Ward FHE round robins, lots of things to help the members in areas that could be improved. It is all about getting useful information and doing something with it to connect to each other on a more meaningful level.
