About this project
Danyel Vertin is the sole proprietor behind the dream which is officially known as "Home Patisserie." She has been in love with baking since she first saw a topsy turvy wedding cake in High school. After starting as a cake decorator in a local supermarket, she's never looked back. Danyel has trained under such names as Cindy Pawlcyn in several high profile restaurants in Napa Valley, CA, worked closely with high profiled Executive Chefs and has a passion for finding and creating amazing desserts from scratch. There's nothing like starting with a small handful of ingredients and turning it into something decadent. This dream of opening a bakery has been a constant for 10 years and being so close to realizing this dream is beyond exciting.
Our goal with the kickstarter project is to raise enough money to cover the permits, fees, booth materials, and ingredients to get up and running at the Marin Farmer's Market. It's an exciting adventure and is our first step in raising money to opening a storefront in downtown San Rafael, CA.
We plan on offering the following delicious menu items:
- Hand Pies
- Edible flower infused candies
- A varied selection of gluten free and vegan options
In an effort to give back to our community, and offer baked goods of only the highest quality, our products will be made from all local, organic, farm-bought ingredients.
We've put together some fun packages for different levels of contributions and hope there is something for everyone to enjoy.
We can't thank you enough for checking out our page. We hope that our passion will be contagious and we can open up a place where people will feel at Home.
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram or visit the Home Patisserie website for updates.
Check out the finalized poster which will be added to all reward packages $25 and up! We hope you enjoy hanging this in your kitchen, your office or your Home as a reminder of your contribution to Home Patisserie! (Dimensions: 11"x17" - printed on high quality poster stock.)
We're excited to share with you the t-shirt designs for rewards over $100! These will be available in sizes: S - XL (specify size in September when you submit your address).
Risks and challenges
Our biggest risk is that the Marin Farmers Market has a very competitive "Bakery Alley". We hope to add a unique variety of products which will compliment the market, rather than compete against other vendors.
While we know this could be a challenge, when we talk about our passion for starting up a family friendly, home based, made-from-scratch bakery, the excitement we get from friends, neighbors and local business owners leaves us little doubt that what we offer is highly desired.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
