You did it!
The numbers speak for themselves – YOU did it!! A thrilling 30 day campaign ride ended last Saturday with almost 950 backers and more than 200% funding. And it was exciting to the very end: gathered via Skype, HOLO's London and Toronto team followed the campaign clock switch to seconds as pledges still kept coming in. Thanks to everybody who supported us, endorsed the project, spread the word and voiced their excitement. Also, thanks to our great campaign partners and the numerous contributing artists! 18 months of magazine work could only get us so far – it is you who'll make HOLO happen!
What's next? As stated in our last update, we're already in full magazine production mode and will share previews, production notes and regular editorial updates with all of you. Parallel to that, we've already begun to organize the fulfillment of your rewards – a rather complex process that has to be completed in stages given the number of backers and different kinds of rewards. As soon as Kickstarter has wrapped things up on their end – which will take a couple of weeks – we will be able to provide you with your digital rewards (i.e. TouchDesigner licenses), get our contributing artists going (objects, prints etc) and work out the orders for the two books and Sifteos. Expect to hear from us again with more details early in the new year.
One of the rewards – a membership to our sister publication CreativeApplications.Net (CAN) – we started rolling out today. Members will enjoy CAN ad-free and have access to forthcoming members-only content. If you donated $30 or more your registration code has already been sent to you via email. Also: a number of people who didn’t find out about campaign until it was too late have reached out asking whether they can still back HOLO and get single issues or subscriptions at various reward tiers. We're happy to announce that yes – until the regular HOLO web shop goes live in January – you can still support the project and snatch some of our rewards (art objects, prints, books etc) depending on their availability.
