Glad to hear you got your copy of HOLO 2!
The planning for HOLO 3 will start in the new year.
Cheers and enjoy the read :)
Finally got my copy of HOLO 2. Thanks guys!
So, what are your current plans for HOLO 3? Hope you are going to keep making these awesome books :)
Hello AG and Jonathan,
We will be posting an update on our social channels in the coming couple of weeks to share some documentation of HOLO 2 as well as the official shipping start date - coming very soon! Please keep your eyes on those spaces as we don't spend a whole lot of time over here on Kickstarter anymore.
All the best,
How's Holo 2 doing?
whats happen with HOLO2?
Hello HOLO-Team can you give us a timeline for the HOLO2 shipment?
Hi Mark Nelson,
Can you please send the info plus your current address to me at email@example.com.
thanks so much
Sherry / HOLO
I never received my copy. I have moved between pledge and shipment and believe it went to my old address and wasn't forwarded.
Thanks for your message.
We are in full production mode on HOLO 2 at the moment and will ship in the new year. We will share a more precise timeline in the coming months.
All the best for now,
Sherry / HOLO
I really liked HOLO! Do you have a timeframe for the second volume being available?
I have never received my copy of HOLO can someone look into this for me? thanks.
I just gotine, and I'm ready to read it and give a more completely review. But it looks amazing, a really good job, seems like it worth waiting :)
Just got mine today and wow, it's incredible! Also great work on the t-shirt!!
Got mine today! Great job!!! ps: smells like Esopus ;-)
got my stuff here in Ireland
thanks all for your hard work
Hi Angela, in our last update we’d requested backers check in with us with new address information by March 18th. Please email our project manager at firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP with your current mailing address and we’ll (if necessary) update our info for you.
How do I confirm you have my correct mailing address before these ship out? (I think I've moved 3 times since backing the project!)
It's been a very long waiting for this book.... More than a year...Sounds like you guys are cheating on us? Could you share us some respect?
Woot can't wait
Hi all! We are in the process of finalizing dates with the printers and distributors and want to ensure the information we share is rock solid. Sorry for keeping you in the dark and thank you so much for your patience. We'll share news ASAP.
Am curious as well. What's the status?
Hi guys, are you going to post an update soon? Being late is OK, lots of things need to line up and I think everybody understands that delays can happen, but lack of communications is harder to rationalize. Looking forward to get HOLO#1!!!
Hi Kids, how you doin?
When will you ship the magazine? Late January was announced, but I didn't receive it till now.
Keep going gang! I'm happy to wait because I know it will be awesome.
Any news on door mat dates (UK) - thanks
You can update your address by emailing it to me at: email@example.com
Can I update my address? I recently moved and don't want to miss the first issue!
(I did set up a forwarding address through the post office, but they don't forward all items, I believe.)
Thanks for asking about the printed postcard. We are deep into production mode on issue 1 of HOLO but once the magazine ships so will the printed postcards. HOLO's creative director Alex will be hand printing them himself! Keep your eyes on the updates section of our Kickstarter page as we'll be announcing ship dates soon.
Any ETA on the screen printed Postcard from HOLO reward?
CONGRATS to you all! Looking forward to the first issue and downloads.
Congratulations HOLO! I'm excited to see more from your wonderful creative project!
Thank you for your support, Jared! We will provide our backers with links to the individual software packages as soon as they become available (see the details in update #3).
Love the look of the digital gift bundle. Is there a link to download it?
Well done guys! Looking forward to seeing issue#!
Congrats on passing your funding goal. This is great.
Addie, this is a very important question and here are our thoughts.
There is definitely a 'boys club' (white and heteronormative, for that matter) vibe that permeates the media art world and technology circles in general. We acknowledge that our initial list of subjects for artist features could be a lot more diverse and you are not the first person to point this out. Due to the 'startup' nature of this venture, our features were commissioned in bits and pieces and we did not have the luxury of plotting out our content in a single, holistic planning session. I assure you we endeavour for HOLO to be super-invested in representing a diverse range of people and practices. Your concerns will be very much on our mind as we think about and commission future content.
Holo is beautiful and I love the esthetic direction, I am thrilled to support it, but would you be willing to feature more women artist?
Hi Chris, thanks for your support and the thoughts. Artist features will be our bread and butter, but those alone do not a publication make. We've got a range of other material in development which was not as foregrounded in the campaign blurb. This includes, big, 8-12 page thematic photo essays, venue and toolmaker profiles, festival beat reporting, smaller project snapshots, theory and/or opinion pieces etc. Some of this material is substantially complete and some of it will come together over the next four months.. We'll share some more details via updates as the campaign progresses.
It is no surprise to hear Regine suggested as a potential contributor, she is super high on our list of people we'd like to work with. There are a number of key voices we'd like to enlist to feed into HOLO and now that it looks like we will indeed exist we can start to (further) fill out our roster.
I like where the first edition is headed with the very personal and deep interviews, but I hope you are also able to start doing looks in a bigger curatorial sense as well into trends, specific festivals...Having someone like Regine from wemakemoneynotart do longer form stuff? I am sure you have many visions ready to go, just wanted to encourage you to keep the format open to more than just about the superstars and their insights/inspirations (which I am excited to read).
