Hello Backers,

It's been six days since the campaign began and we're over 60% funded! That's great news. We also have other great news.

Reward Tiers

You asked and we listened!

We've opened up all our reward tiers to be international. For those interested in moving up to get Mutant Crops and/or Cul-De-Sac Conquest - now you can! Thanks to all of our backers who already have moved up :)

We're also going to look into having other add-ons to the campaign. We're getting quotes back on roll up game mats. We're listening to everyone's suggestions so do let us know if you have any other ideas for us :)

 Kickstarter Art Contest

Here is the story we wrote for our story contest (submit your own here):

I've been told that ghosts are the spirits of the dead - trapped inside a world that is no longer theirs. Though, I don't know that to be true. If it is I definitely don't remember anything before my current life. I've been a ghost as long as I can remember. Legendary Laundry has and always will be my home.

Legendary Laundry was once a flourishing laundromat. I remember when I was younger there were plenty of patrons walking the aisles and the whirling of the washers and dryers were never ending. It was a glorious time and one filled with laughter, fun and the cold, wet socks that I love so dearly.

Though, now most of the washers and dryers have been sold off to pay rent. The stains on the floor are the only reminder or Legendary Laundry's better days. However, despite this I have still found a way to grab a few socks now and then.

Now since there are less customers frequenting here I have to take a few socks from each in order to have as many stored away as I used to. I have a pile of lost socks hidden away, but every once in a while customers dig through it and find their socks. It's not ideal, but it happens. I love each of my socks, but they're not irreplaceable. When I see one go missing I pretty quickly find a suitable replacement.

I love socks. I'll always love socks! I cannot wait to find some more.

With ghostly love,

Caring Caitlin

Retail Stores

We've had a few local gaming stores back our campaign. We're incredibly proud to work with friendly local gaming stores (FLGS). We purchase a majority of our games through local stores, play there regularly, and try to support local stores as they are the front lines in our business. Local gaming stores help demo our games, share our brand with their customers and grow the hobby. We just wanted to take a moment to highlight one in each update.

In this update we have Get Your Fun On.

Here's a description from the store owner:

Get Your Fun On is a family owned and operated tabletop game shop in Central Florida opened in 2007, because the owners, Marc and Wanda were tired of looking for a family friendly game store and decided to create the shop they had always looked for and to share their love of face to face tabletop gaming with others.

It started out in a small 1100sq ft. store with 4 tables and about 300 titles to browse. We've always focused on family friendly fun and have run daily events for play, demo, and competition. Our original "free to play" demo library was about 150 games.

Over the last 10 years we have outgrown our shop spaces a few times and 5 years ago we partnered with a local comic and toy store to create a true gaming and pop culture mecca. We are now located in a converted 10,000+ sq ft. movie theater where the original lobby is our sales floor with more than 8000 unique gaming titles and thousands of accessories. One of the 2400 sq ft. theaters is our dedicated gaming room that can seat well over 100 players at 25+ tables. It also features a huge demo library of well over 2000 games to play.

We have an awesome community of gamers who play with us! Board game events weekly, daily RPG sessions, Star Wars X-Wing, Imperial Assault, and Destiny, Warhammer, Magic, Pokemon (as well as most new collectible card games that come and go) and all the Fantasy Flight living card games.

We started very small and our community has come together to help us grow into a great face to face fun destination which is why we love to get involved in Kickstarter projects for tabletop gaming (we've backed over 400 unique titles as of now) because without the great folks (like Andrew at Atheris Games) sharing their creations we would have nothing to share with the players and keep growing the community!

Any of our retail backers who would like to be featured please email us at info@atherisgames.com with your store information.

 Other Kickstarter to Back

We're avid Kickstarter backers and truly want to support other creators. In some of our updates we will provide you with links to other campaigns we felt looked interesting. In this update we have Deja Vu: Fragments of Memory. The game looks beautiful, is already funded and seems to be an interesting take on mancala, which we're partial to since one of our future games, Ruins of Mars, has a mancala'esque element.

Though, we encourage checking out these other campaigns we always recommend doing your own due diligence as well.

 Conclusion

As always thanks so much for supporting Atheris Games!

We cannot thank everyone enough for their support. We love seeing the social media avatars across social media platforms, be it Facebook or Kickstarter. We are also humbled by all the shares of the campaign link. We're so proud to be a part of this amazing industry, and none of it would be possible with out each and every one of you.

We appreciate you and will take all feedback into account.

 Sincerely,

Andrew & The Atheris Games Team
