YOUR TREE IN THE LOG LADY GROVE
Catherine's role as the Log Lady lead to her work as a spokeswoman for the environment. Over the years, the Log Lady gained a special, symbolic meaning as a protector of forests and trees, and Catherine spoke out about the devastating effects of deforestation. She was a passionate advocate for groups like TreePeople.
We have joined forces with TreePeople to make sure that vision stays alive. Now you can dedicate a tree in The Log Lady Grove and receive a hand-signed and numbered Log Lady Grove & TreePeople certificate.
TreePeople is a non-profit organization and their Tree Dedication Program focuses on the neighborhoods and communities of the greater Los Angeles area, and the mountains and wilderness areas of Southern California.
Make a tree dedication to honor a friend, celebrate an event, or remember a loved one. Give a gift that grows in The Log Lady Groves!
While making this film, we will comb through boxes full of Catherine's letters, old photos, college essays, and other items she saved. Many of these discoveries will appear only briefly in the film, or maybe not at all, but we will collect them to create an intimate and tasteful narrative of her life as it has never been seen before.
The Logbook will be a deluxe coffee table book* meticulously compiled during the making of the documentary. Numbered copies will only be available for purchase during the campaign, and you will have the opportunity to contribute your own story, photo, poem or tribute in a curated memorial section. You will be thanked in the book AND in the film.
*Size and format to be decided.

Risks and challenges
First, let us say how deeply we appreciate each and every single backer who joins us here on this exciting journey. Many of you may know the difficulties in completing a documentary and there are a slew of unknowns we may encounter (and have already overcome) along the way. Due to the nature of documentary work, we are still gathering the pieces of this story. So, please be patient with us as we fulfill your rewards and complete this film. Projects like this don't come together overnight. We are going to do our best to have this film ready to watch by Summer 2019, but please understand that there are all sorts of hurdles along this road. Some of these are actor availability for key interviews, licensing integral footage, and editing it all together! Again, thank you for being a part of the team!
