We're so proud of Alan!
Congrats on a great time, and even if you didn't qualify for Boston, think of it this way, in April you will be too busy working on The Long Dark to worry about running obscene distances.
Hey everyone -- Alan here. it was perfect weather for a marathon this morning, St. Charles is an awesome place, and the course was very scenic along the river. I fell short of my goal to qualify for Boston (I ran 3:20, but needed 3:15), but I am in good spirits. Thanks so much for your comments and well wishes!
Running is good. But most normal busy working people with low paycheck can't even have time to do this. I hope some day I can. Good Luck.
This awesome! Good luck Alan! I'm from St. Charles and I wish you luck!
Stay strong to the end Alan, we wish you good luck. You are as crazy as anyone who chases his dreams ,be it backers, who believe in Hinterland and The Long Dark or a guy running 26.2 miles...
...never stop chasing your dreams...
Bat crazy, people didn't evolve to run!
Yeah, well, maybe they really did, but the point is eh... well, good luck, I'll be on the coach reading KS updates. ;-)
I don't especially enjoy going 26.2 miles in a car, on a highway, with cruise control, much less on my own 2 feet. I'll be on my porch drinking coffee and reading the paper if you need a high-five.
Definitely crazy. I am reading this in my nice warm bed with a coffee and I do not have a bad conscience about it. Hehe. Wish you luck.
Yes.. you are crazy. A man should only run when he is chased by either a bear, his wife or the law.
Good luck Alan! I'm running Berlin in a week so yeah, definitely think you're crazy.
