Hey lady, just made a small donation, wish i could afford more but i'm baroque these days. I've also been sharing this on my FB page and just sent it out to the Women in Production NYC list. I think you can do it, but it will still require a lot of work of pushing the film. It seems a good amount of donations come in the last few days but of course you don't want to rely upon that. Keep promoting this on FB, ask others to, contact interest groups, doc groups etc. I'm sure you're doing all this. I really hope it succeeds! LMK if you need any help.

I think it’s really important for information to be shared about the sex industry and exactly how the lines get blurred when you’re out there, doing this sort of thing. I can relate and one day soon I aim to be able to write about and share my own story. This film gives me courage, it gives these women a voice and it shares information for everyone.

    26. Gia`s Dream on July 3, 2012

Damn...I hope you meet your goal!!!!!!!!

Hima, I live in San Francisco and do recall the fight that is the subject of your documentary being played out publicly. It's obvious that many men visited the clubs during this era because the establishments operated as quasi-legal brothels. In this equation, lots of money changed hands, and for women who wanted to prostitute themselves, I think they appreciated the relative safety and financial security of the strip club. For others, well, that is the story of your video . . . My personal feeling is that irrespective of whether a stripper wants to use the club as a cover for sexual services, or whether she wants no more than a straight dancing job, these clubs pretty much exploit everyone and, as you rightly say, enjoy a license to pimp. I'll end by saying that I endorse what I see on Kickstarter about your project's story, treatment and production values, and I appreciate the point of view (in effect, your attitude) that you bring to the material. Thank you, and best of luck!
