Yak. The planet's greenest red meat. We are Vermont Yak Company, a three family, two farm business in Vermont's Mad River Valley who have been raising yak here for 5 years. Grass-fed yak meat is delicious and nutritious. And now, Vermont yak meat is going mobile, courtesy of our "YakItToMe!" Vermont Yak Mobile BBQ Food cart. We are a Kickstarter project supporting localvore eaters on the go, featuring tasty grass-fed yak burgers and locally-grown yak sausage. We raise our yaks right here in Vermont, we and grill 'em up with love just for you, with the help of pure Mad River spring water, Green Mountain pasture grass, Vermont sunshine, and ingredients and toppings - Red Hen buns, Hartshorn/Santa Davida farm organic veggies, local fromages and bacon - supplied by our Vermont farm friends and neighbors. Risks and challenges
We have an ample supply of yak meat to get us through 2013. We anticipate having enough yak meat supply to meet our demand for 2014 and beyond to be a challenge, but one that we are confident we will surmount.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
