      I've had mine in daily use since they first arrived and so far only one of them snapped. All in all I find them extremely useful and the black ones are subdued enough that they go nicely with shoes other than sneakers and sportswear quite well. Definitely looking forward to buying more hickies the next time I'm buying a pair of shoes.

It's great to hear you guys are working on a new stronger type of Hickie, I plan on being a loyal customer so it's nice to know that there's something even better in the works.       I just wanted to say that since receiving these last year I really do love not having to tie my main pair of sneakers anymore (I still have to do it the "old fashioned" way with my workout sneakers, kind of worried that using them while working out might cause some damage). After using them for the past 7 or 8 months I really find it funny that there was nothing like this for sneakers before Hickies were created because right now I can't imagine going back to laces. The reason that I am here today, though, is similar to Michael a few posts down. I love using these as replacements for having to tie sneakers, but out of the gray/white box that I ordered last year I've had at least 4 or 5 break on me. I originally ordered 4 boxes (2 for me, 2 for someone else) but I've actually only been using the grey/white ones since first using Hickies. In every case I wasn't doing anything extreme or anything in my sneakers, I have them on the pair that I wear to work and just regular going out sneakers so I'm still a little puzzled as to why they broke in the first place. Either way though I'm still happy with Hickies for what they can do, but as of right now I'm down to an even number of grey/white so if anymore break on me I'm going to have to switch it up with the black Hickies to keep each sneaker balanced or maybe do some sort of combination between the two.

      Yet another break on the top Hickies. Thats 3 breaks so far since I've had them and they didnt last a year! I'm walking around with more on one side of my foot then the other. Looks like I'm headed back to laces. To bad because I get a lot of inquiries about my kicks and how clean they look. I cant justify referring them until that pesky issue is fixed though. Got a reply from support once. But only to try pre stretching them and nothing since then so I did. But it still broke. There are a lot of comments about this issue. Any solution in sight? Already backed Lace Anchors after the second Hickie broke... just in case there was not.

      Feels like almost a novelty for projects to ship on or close to estimates.

      Just one thing: both my husband and I have the same issue - too tight over arch part. A longer Hickie there would be good. As is, neither of us can wear our Converse for very long. Hopefully a longer version in the future?

      Too tight. Hurt my feet. Have em on my vans and chucks. Pre stretched. Should also be a smaller size because they're too big for the lowest set of eyelets. Had to leave them out of the bottom because it looked ridiculous.

      I swapped mine out right when we got them. I only wear a size 9.5 and have had the top hickie break on me twice since I also swapped .. Sorry, I like the product but broken loops area bust when it feels like your shoes are going to slide off. Anything we can do about this guy's? Might I suggest a little thicker, and a little longer top hickie . Any other fix in the meantime?

      I'm with you @Shaun Guth. I wear a size 13, have my hickies on only four out of six lace loops and break the top one on frequent basis. I've snapped about four now. I don't think people with larger feet were part of the QC process.

      Been using my hickies since I received them late last year. 3 have broken, two of them come undone on a regular basis now. It's more work than tying my shoes at this point, so I'm going back to laces.

      Too bad about the durability, because they're kind of fun to wear.

      my hickies were way too tight and i'm a petite size of a person....i say these are for kids.
      i prefer my laces, somehow at first i thought the hickies would look cool but it's still missing some proportion adjustments...perhaps flattened instead of round bodied?

      Please let me share with you some techniques we have to make the HICKIES loosen up:

      1) You can pre-stretch the HICKIES before putting them on (they can be stretched to twice their size and then revert back to their original size). Once stretched, the HICKIES material loosens up.

      2) We have created this video with a few techniques to hook the HICKIES in diverse ways for a wider fit: http://www.youtube.com/watch…

      HICKIES are made to fit snugly and you can pre-stretch them before putting them on your shoes for a looser fit.
