Feedback #16 - How to Manage your Pledge!
Ok guys and gals, with the final 24hr push just around the corner (the next updates for the last stretch goals come at 8pm UK time), let's talk about the pledge levels.
There's been a little confusion about them, so I'm going to try and explain them below :)
'Just Passin' Through! - This is the level you select if you only want some random items or you want to be kept in the loop after the KS closes. If you want random items just add the cost of them, listed under each photo, to your pledge amount using 'manage your pledge'. You can then let us know what you pledged for, after the KS, during the 'survery/pledge manager' stages.
Hasslefriesian Half Dozen (resin or metal) - If you pledge this, you can select any 6 unlocked minis of that type. That's any 6 variants from the original 12 'or' any of the unlocked Stretch Goal variants.
Dixon's Dozen (resin or metal) - If you pledge this, you can select any 12 unlocked minis of that type. That's any 6 variants from the original 12 'or' any of the unlocked Stretch Goal variants.
The Stretch Goal variants are not free, they are just unlocked as extra possibilities for your selections.
WORKING OUT YOUR PLEDGE.
If you want an odd number of minis, then these are some examples to show how you do that...
Bob wants 8 metal miniatures, he pledges for the Half Dozen at £27 then adds two more at their individual prices of £5 each and manages his pledge up to £37.
Susan wants 27 metal miniatures (Well done that woman!), she pledges for 2 of the Dixon's Dozen pledges (24 minis) and adds on 3 at the individual price, that's £110.
Johnny the Complicated, wants 19 metal minis, 8 resin minis, a companion, 3 signed cards and the poster set...
For the 19 metal minis he adds up the Dixon's Dozen, and the Hasslefriesian Half Dozen to make 18 and adds on a single mini (£50 +£27+£5). For the 8 resin minis he adds on the Hasslefriesian Half Dozen plus 2 individual ones (£80 +£15+£15) he then adds the companion (£12), the cards (3 x £5) and the signed poster pack (£30). Johnny picks the Dixon's Dozen metal pledge level and adjusts his pledge to his total of £249.
As you can see, you 'are' allowed to double pledge. Just add up the costs of the pledge levels you want.
AFTER THE KICKSTARTER ENDS.
After the Kickstarter we will send out the survey for you to show interest in which variants you will 'probably' want. The Pledge Manager stage will come after that where you select them for real, there will be more WIPs and finished minis by then to help your decision. You 'will' be able to add to your pledge during the Pledge Manager but there may be KS only bonuses that 'only' apply to the level you were on when the KS ended (Wait for tonight's update for more info!)
We will keep a nice big database of all backers and what they have pledged for. As they get manufactured and cast we will mark them on the database and as soon as your entire pledge is marked we will contact you with your shipping total which you pay 'then', not now.
We will also, at that time only, offer you a free shipping code for the HF webstore, so you can add items to your pledge if you wish without incurring extra postage.
Kev will 'not' be making the characters in order. It's always best to let the sculptor work as his muse dictates :) So I'm afraid there's no way to order 'the first 12 finished' or anything :D It'll be pot luck, w'll be fulfilling this way simply to avoid there being the inevitable issues that arise when you leave over 1200 pledges to fulfill at once.
IS THIS GOOD VALUE COMPARED TO WAITING UNTIL RETAIL?
The pledge levels roughly correspond to a 10% discount for the Half Dozen and a 20% discount for the full dozen 'however' that is going on current £5 RRP. Quite a few, if not most, of these figures will be more than that by the time they are released (Our next price point is £6). It's next year, there's a lot of multipart or complicated minis, the pound has collapsed so imported metal like tin is on the rise again and so on. This means that even buying them as add-ons gives a 20% discount at least on those. If you select a lot of those in your pledge level you could end up saving over 30%!
Hopefully that helps some, or all, of you :) I'll also link to this update on the page's FAQ. If there's anything else you need to know, please ask and we'll try and resolve it in the chat below this update :)
Right, on with the last day!
