To keep H1 easy-to-use, we integrated Blockly into our software, which allows dragging and placing the code blocks to control H1. Control a robot arm is as easy as play a board game.
We also provide an API for experienced developers to control H1 in Processing, Python, and G-code.
To make controlling H1 even easier, we designed the 3.5-inch touchscreen allows you to check the status and command H1 within your hand. Download the G-code files to the SD card and start drawing/engraving/printing. No need to keep connecting to your computer.
With the pen holder module, H1 can write a letter, draw a picture, and turn your design into pen and ink. Bring arts to your home or write your homework...
H1 can be easily transformed into a laser engraver with the laser engraver module. It is capable of engraving on wood, leather, paper and other materials. You can make a meaningful gift for your friends within a few minutes.
With H1's high precision, you can print a 3D object with the 3D printing module. The modular design expands the creative power for H1. Gives us the ability to create more things with it.
Picking and placing objects can be easily performed with the help of a suction cup and soft gripper.
Don’t know how to program? No worries. With the multi-function button on the base or the touchscreen, you can drag the arm and record the movements and make H1 repeat the movements. Drag, record, and play - just that easy.
With the other accessories such as computer vision kit and linear rails, we can bring the capability of H1 to the next level. You can also design your own accessories for your targeted application.
Combining with OpenMV, we can perform all projects requiring computer vision. Build a mini production line on your desk or use H1 in an industry environment.
Want to get a bigger moving area? No problem! After putting H1 on the linear rails, we will get a much bigger moving area with H1 . Or by combining H1 with the conveyor belt, we can build a mini production line on our desk.
Want to have more than one H1 arm to complete your task? Yes, we can combine two H1 to do the job with our software.

We’ve come a long way since we first came up with the idea of creating a desktop robotic arm two years ago. We believed that a truly multi-functional robot arm can change the way, we create things.
With these beliefs in mind, our team spent countless nights designing, prototyping, testing, programming, and pitching our ideas to hundreds of people and receive feedback on H1. After the test in the past five months, our product has been verified, and it’s ready for manufacturing.

Risks and challenges
Any project might encounter unexpected obstacles, and this possibility is even more likely in the case of a hardware technology project that requires manufacturing. Keeping this in mind, we have already started to tackle some of these obstacles early on in order to minimize any delays.
1. One potential risk is preparing for the injection molding manufacturing process. Injection molding is the fastest and most reliable way to manufacture H1s. To guarantee a smooth process, we've taken almost all possible blocks into consideration and found solutions to ensure high-quality injection molding manufacturing. As you can see, the prototypes we made worked perfectly and next we will start the mold manufacturing process.
In order to prepare for the mass production, 80% of our BOM(Bill of Materials) is confirmed and most suppliers are selected. Moreover, we work in a city near the factory so that we can know and fix any problem happen.
2. A second potential risk is the software integration with H1. We are passionate about creating the most intuitive and interactive way to control H1 and bring our ideas to life. Given the amount of work that we'll have over the next four months, it will be challenging to create all the patches and integrations that we have in mind. First, we will focus on the software that we think to be the most important and keep the software development progress run parallel with our hardware manufacturing.
We are fully aware that unexpected bumps in the road may raise, but our team is dedicated to doing whatever it takes to keep our promises.
