Completely forgot I backed this like 3 years ago, Great timing I needed a Mini for a new Pathfinder Campaign. Catfolk Archer Paladin HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

    2. pinkymadigan on March 17

@Asmo - how long do you expect them to continue to check old campaigns? This one has been finished for ever, can't get mad that they don't check in daily any more or update all the time.

    3. Hero Forge 2-time creator on March 17

Asmo and David - Happy to respond to your feedback:

As we noted in our recent opt-in email list, we are working on transitioning general, non-exclusive information to a more traditional mailing list and social media. Kickstarter, on the other hand, will continue to be our first stop for exclusive info, sneak peeks and private beta information. In fact, we just posted an update about a new trial we're running today.

Our reasoning behind this is as follows: given that backers receive an email every time there is an update, we don't want to spam your inboxes with double-announcements from the opt-in mailing list AND Kickstarter update, so we intend to post general information on those channels while keeping any private beta or preview announcements here in Kickstarter.

I hope that all makes sense, but as always you're welcome to post any feedback you have. We hope the last three years of regular updates and responses to your comments and feedback show that we are still committed to keeping you up to date on the project.

    4. Asmo on March 16

@ David, yep and see how much they care about us. They develop what people have asked for over a year and ... they announce a new KS and .... nothing here.
      Yay
Expect great communications from their new project too !

    5. David S on March 14

According to Facebook there is a new update with 2 HANDED POSES yay for the wait. Its been 3 months since last update but it should be worth it

    6. David S on March 3

So nearly 3 months since last update. Hope new one soon

    7. Steven Palchinski on March 2

      New update announcement soon?

    8. David S on January 10

      hoping for new update soon

    9. Hero Forge 2-time creator on December 7

Happy to announce another big update! We've added over 50 new parts, a bunch of menu improvements, the frequently requested "mirrored pose" option, and some big performance improvements! Check out the most recent update for more info, or drop by www.heroforge.com to check out all the new content and features!

    10. Asmo on November 23

Last update was august, so when is the next ? This year ?

    11. Hero Forge 2-time creator on November 14

Tim - We'll be posting about that in our next update, but as with last year, you won't have to worry about them expiring.
David - We primarily do social media via Facebook and Twitter now, though we do still check in here. We've been quietly working on technical improvements for performance and the like which takes longer than parts releases, so we've been quiet for a while. We're still around though! Definitely feel free to use Facebook to contact us or post as well--typically the response time from social media is faster if you have something urgent. As per your other comment, yes, you won't need to worry about them expiring this year. We'll have more information come the next update.
Asmo - Hello there. As I noted with Tim, you won't need to worry about vouchers expiring for the holidays. We'll have more info in the next release, but an extension, as with last year, until we get the remaining couple stretch goals taken care of, is in the cards.

@HeroForge - for those of us that have been hanging on to our codes, what is the date we have to redeem them by?

    13. David S on November 8

it is worrying that there has been that there is still no update since Aug & last comment was a month ago almost

    14. Asmo on October 28

So... close to 2 years after the initial release many of us haven't used our coupons because what we expected is not released yet.
Can we have the plan ?

    15. Hex on October 24

@David S: Many thanks to you! - I appreciate every respondent we get!

    16. David S on October 23

Hi Hex I filled out your survey

    17. Hex on October 20

      Hi guys!
Besides being a backer on this project, I'm also a researcher doing my PhD on games crowdfunding. Please, consider participating in an academic crowdfunding user survey we created, and help us better understand why people back campaigns! You can find the survey at: http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3061898/Crowdfunding-user-survey

    18. David S on October 20

the codes we received for our pledges were given an extra year - this will be coming up soon
since some of the prime features are yet to be included, such as 2 handed poses, will you be extending them again?

    19. Hero Forge 2-time creator on October 13

Asmo - It is indeed the highest priority for the team members working to make that happen.
Steven - This most recent update is taking more time than usual, yeah. We're doing some work on the back end to improve performance, scale-ability, and also have a small amount of new content we're looking forward to, but it's a work in progress.
David - It is indeed the highest priority for the team members working yo make it happen.
Konrad - We're working on improving animation tools so we can get some more pose option flexibility. Some of the pose options ended up not being possible due to other limitations, but two handed stuff is still up at the top of our list.

    20. Asmo on October 4

Come on. We've all been waiting for you to deliver something close to what you advertised : more poses and two handed. Can you please update us ?

    21. Steven Palchinski on September 30

It is nearly been 2 months since the last update. Can we expect one soon?

    22. David S on September 21, 2016

I agree with Konrad - my order has been waiting for 2 handed poses as well (10 minis worth or order) - I know there are technical difficulties but this should be highest priority I feel

also agree with Steven - any other updates?

    23. Steven Palchinski on September 21, 2016

Any word on the next batch of updates?

First off, I have loved this project from the start and I don't want to sound like a complainer, but here it goes! :)
The one thing still missing is most of the poses shown on the kickstarter campaign page which are really the ones that made me back the kickstarter. Its been over two and a half years I think since the project started and we still can't make any of these cooler looking poses. Especially the two handed weapon ones, but there are others. For all this time HF has had $245us of mine. I really want to make my 10 figures and I appreciate they have extended the time to cash in the rewards. Many times I've just about said screw it and made the figs with the poses available, but the poses on the kickstarter page are just so much better and what I want.
Will we ever be getting any of these poses? I know the two handed poses question has been asked many times, a few by myself, but it just seems strange that we still can't do almost all of the poses originally shown on the kickstarter main page.
Here is a quick one page example of the poses we can't do, but were on the campaign page. Just mashed together quickly. If I'm wrong on any of these, sorry, I only check back to the HF creator every few months to see if two handed weapon poses are available so I haven't really tried all possible combinations.

it is in my possession. Very beautiful. You guys do amazing work. Now to prime and paint.

    26. Steven Palchinski on August 26, 2016

My mini shipped. The excitement is palpable.

    27. Dahanil on August 22, 2016

perfect, thanks Hero Forge - will be painting up my minis this week in that case!

    28. Hero Forge 2-time creator on August 19, 2016

Danil - We have had fine luck with all the regular mini primer brands. Several people prefer spray on, but some of our team likes using brush-on primer too.
Steven - Glad to hear it!

    29. Dahanil on August 19, 2016

Just received my order - the minis are awesome! The grey plastic is soooo good!

Might have missed this in an earlier post, but is there any advice on painting (specifically priming) the grey plastic minis? Does the plastic take a spray primer?

    30. Steven Palchinski on August 13, 2016

I just ordered my mini, now that the grey plastic is back. Super pumped now.

    31. Dahanil on August 13, 2016

Excellent news about the Grey plastic - just what I was hoping for! Actually don't mind too much about the increase in cost, as long as the minis are as good as I hope.

Has anyone received their Grey Plastic minis who can share feedback? Anyone tried painting theirs?

    32. Hero Forge 2-time creator on August 12, 2016

New backer update posted. Gray Plastic is back for a second round of beta testing! Take a look ar our most recent update for more details. Don't hesitate to reach out with your feedback and let us know what you think!

New update posted! Drop by the site to check out some new part additions. Also: Try using the L and R arrows on your keyboard to rotate the character independent of the background and lighting.

    34. Steven Palchinski on August 4, 2016

@Hero Forge - I'm not their either this year. And I am really regretting not being able to go.

    35. Hero Forge 2-time creator on August 3, 2016

steven - Unfortunately not at GenCon this year!
Asmo - No updated for Gray Plastic at the moment. We're still working with out manufacturing partner to see if it is a sustainable option
Danil - see answer above. Typically we allow vouchers to apply their value towards any other material, but you have to email support@heroforge.com for them to update them manually. No word on a return for Gray Plastic yet though.
David - All good things take time. This update took more, as it had more non-user-facing structural content changes. Thanks for your patience and excitement though.

    36. Steven Palchinski on July 31, 2016

Well next week is GenCon, so they might be busy prepping for that. they were there last year.

    37. Asmo on July 29, 2016

Could we have an update ?

    38. Dahanil on July 20, 2016

Any update on the Grey Plastic? How far along the queue of orders are we? Could you also confirm if I'd need to pay the price difference between Ultra Detailed Plastic (which I pledged for) and Grey Plastic if I end up going for that? Just want to gauge whether it's worth waiting for Grey Plastic orders to be back up...

    39. David S on July 17, 2016

was hoping to hear about next update by now as half way through month

      any news for us HF?

    40. Steven Palchinski on July 12, 2016

Anything new on the next batch of new bits?

    41. Steven Palchinski on June 28, 2016

Thanks! I am asking on the packaging so I know if I need to make something for transporting it is a box with my dice.
I am cool waiting on the hooks and missing limbs, as long as they are on the radar for some point.

    42. Hero Forge 2-time creator on June 28, 2016

Vlos - Glad to hear it!
Steven - They typically are in mylap ziplock bags or rolled in bubble wrap, then placed in more bubble wrap. Missing limbs or hooks is not likely any time soon, I'm afraid.
Tim - It's an ongoing technical implementation task, with a lot of trickiness involved, so we don't feel like we can give an ETA I'm afraid. Wish we could! But we're workin' on it. There's just a lot of tech development that needs to be in place before we can tackle it. I know it might be frustrating to not have an ETA.
Seth -Thanks for the suggestions, as always!

I received my 10 minis, all in bubble packing. All in perfect condition.

    44. Steven Palchinski on June 26, 2016

Also, those who have receiveded their minis, how are they packaged? Is there a foam or plastic sheath?

    45. Steven Palchinski on June 24, 2016

Today it came to me. What are the possibilities of getting hooks, missing limbs and peg legs are options?

    46. Tim Carter
      Superbacker
      on June 13, 2016

@Hero Forge - I know you're probably getting tired of being asked about the two-handed poses, but do you think there's a chance they'll be available by the end of the year? I only ask because I'm still hanging on to my vouchers, and one of the minis I would like to make would use a two-handed pose. So I'm just trying to figure out if I'll be able to use a voucher for that one, or if it's going to be something I'll have to look at later.

    47. Seth on June 10, 2016

So I have really liked the last few updates. There have been some really good pieces. A lot of things I've been hoping for have shown up. Still, there are always more things to hope for.

Familiars: I loved the addition of familiars. A raven would be awesome. It would be really cool if familiars could be placed on shoulders as well. Make use of that slot for spellcasters that dont need big armor on the shoulders. You can have the cat on the base, but seems rat could be there too. I'm betting I'm the only one asking...but maybe a turtle?

Head: The one thing I have not seen that would be great is a great helm. I'd even settle for the visor paladin helm with the wings cut off. A roman helm would be nice. One of those mongle helms with the fur around it.

Face: Domino Mask. Some more kinds of googles such as skiing and diving. Being able to cover the mouth and eyes.

Horns: Some plant/tree branch horns for fey and plant characters. Being able to have missmatched horns would be interesting too.

Side Items: Some kind of larger bag or satchel. I'll admit that one could be tough because it is probably impossible at this point to add a shoulder strap, though some of the tops seem to have that. Grenades and bombs, because boom.

      Tops: Roman armor.

Back and held: Turtle shell. Held as a shield or on the back...so you can be a ninja.

Legs: A kilt without the bag in front.

      Outfit: Super hero

Base: I mentioned putting more familiars on the base. Also a lantern or other light source item.

General: I still with a lot of items for the back or top had a flip around option.

Keep up the great work. I use to have a mammoth list, now I have to spend a long time thinking on what to suggest. That is a good thing. Oh, and will you ever do parts for nude figures?
