The little kitchen that would…dream the impossible!
One guy’s been in the television industry for over 10 years, the other guy’s been in several renowned kitchens over 20 years. But both seriously love food. Food made with love, care, heart and soul. With dishes ranging from Fry Bread Tacos, Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffles, to Liberian Collards, Vegetable Pave, and Old Bay Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Herb & Soul is truly a “Soul Fusion” restaurant.
At Herb & Soul, we strive to make decisions the same way that most
people do. We truly care about the source of our food.
At the present moment, we are Baltimore’s only all natural, local, and sustainable carry-out restaurant, delivery and catering company. Our location isn't fancy at all but we strive to make all of our meals exceptional. We cook all of our food fresh, to order. While some places focus on making ambiance there number one priority, our number one priority has always been quality food first.
Herb & Soul is our way of re-establishing connections to small farms and sustainable living, and of bringing that focus to family, friends, and neighbors over an incredible meal. Herb & Soul is our way of introducing classic soul food dishes in new and exciting ways, while keeping a focus on where the food comes from and how it’s prepared.
Opening a restaurant is a huge endeavor. We’ve been fortunate enough to make the process smoother. Friends and family have helped us paint walls, print menus, serve customers, wash dishes, deliver meals and put much more; they’ve given us thumbs up or thumbs down on new recipes and added brevity and comic relief on days when there were lines out of the door with barely a second to rest between preparing meals.
With this generous support from family and friends, our community, and current patrons of our establishment, we’ve raised nearly the amount we need to make much needed improvements to the restaurant.
And that’s why we’re here. Our community of friends and supporters is steadfast and growing, but we really need your help to meet our budget goals for advertising, equipment, accommodations and finishes.

Risks and challenges
Some of the challenges that might arise with this project could be the availability of equipment. Prices can fluctuate on restaurant equipment. Additionally depending on the time of year, advertising cost could go up. Lastly, the price of organic produce tends to fluctuate between seasons. We have accounted for fluctuations in price and have set aside additional funds to account for this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
