About this project
In January 2013, Hemorage and Feral Depravity toured Nevada and Southern California for a one-week fun fest of awesome performances, greats travels, and partying with new friends we made on the road. It was an amazing experience, so we decided to get together and commemorate our long-standing friendship by recording a record together.
At the moment, we are currently in pre-production, demoing the 9-tracks; 4 songs from each band and 1 song with both bands collaborating. The location of choice is at East Bay Recorders in Berkeley, CA with Grammy-Award winning Michael Rosen, producer/engineer (AFI, Rancid, Testament, Carlos Santana, Death Angel and many more). When the final product is completed, we plan to put the split out on vinyl and CD and distribute it all over the West Coast during our August tour.
This split is happening because of how compatible our bands are, regardless of genre or background. When it comes to friendship, cooperation, and band ethics, our like-mindedness contributes to our successes. We want to put this split out because we want to showcase how our bands' friendship has made each other stronger. We also want to express how beneficial it can be when bands work together. From performing to promoting the shows to making records, two bands can feed off each other’s energy to go even further in their artistic pursuit.
This is where YOU come in. We are hard at work with the split and we cannot do this completely on our own. With your help, we can cover the costs of recording the album and producing the merchandise through Kickstarter. If you back this project, you will be rewarded from an abundance of kickass prizes! Any additional funding will go to other expenses such as travel for our upcoming tour in August, further production of the album, more vinyls and CDs, production budget for photo shoots, music videos, and much more.
If you are not able to help out with the funding, it would be as greatly appreciated if you promote this Kickstarter page by sharing it on different websites (e.g.: Facebook, Twitter, etc.), posting flyers on the street, or by sharing our project through word-of-mouth. Anything would help to get this project funded. If we all work together, this Kickstarter project can become a reality!
Much thanks for your support!
Hemorage and Feral Depravity
Risks and challenges
We have extensive experience working in the studio. Last year, Hemorage and producer Joeleosis (of Feral Depravity) worked tirelessly in the studio to release the Hemorage EP 'Prisoner Of Hate'. Later that year, Feral Depravity teamed up with producer Michael Rosen to release their LP 'The Dangers Of The Human Libido'. Presently, all parties are working diligently on pre-production: rehearsals, demos, critique, arrangement, etc. The chemistry between the bands, Michael Rosen, and Joeleosis has developed into a well-oiled, recording machine!
Every waking minute is about music for our bands. If we are not playing shows or recording, we are always writing new music, rehearsals, promoting shows, creating artwork and videos, and bonding with our brothers and sisters in the local Bay Area music scene. Our album will release, no matter what! Time nor money has never been an end-all obstacle for us - there is always a way.
