You need one Sleep Pill for each person. Our app will display information separately for each person, so those who share the same bed can track their sleep patterns individually.

At this time you need an iPhone 4S or newer, iPod Touch 5G, iPad 3G or newer, or a modern Android such as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S5. Please verify with your product provider that your particular device has Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support.
We are focused on providing the best possible experience for mobile applications right now. We will share a full list of compatible devices closer to our release date.

No way. We classify key events like snoring and sleep talking on the Sense hardware itself, not by uploading to our servers. Sense keeps a short buffer of recorded sound on the device to be able to pick up loud disturbances during the night, such as a car alarm. These short disturbances are available to play back via the application so you can learn what happened at night.

When Sense glows at night or when you wave your hand over, it is literally for a couple of seconds then fades away gently. We would never want to light up your room as a distraction. Because Sense features an ambient light sensor, it is able to adjust the brightness of the glow based on your room. Dark room, very dim glow. Broad day light, bright so you can see.

If you look closely at around 1:40 minutes into the product video you can see the Smart Alarm in action.
We will have numerous alarm sounds to pick from, and there will be a snooze function. You will be able to customize the alarm sound and adjust the volume from the mobile app. If you have the tendency to oversleep, the Smart Alarm is persistent enough to wake you up.
Many have asked about alarms for people who share a bed. It will be possible to set a different alarm for each person. We will provide an update on this feature soon.
We've also received lots of feedback on the ability to wake up to music or have the Sense act as a wake up light – we’ve added both to the list of product feature suggestions.

The Sleep Pill should be placed on the pillow on which your head lays. In order for Sense to accurately track your sleep pattern, your head must also remain on the same pillow as the pill. If you do not use a pillow, the pill should still work fine if it is clipped to the base bed sheet instead of a pillow, depending on your mattress.

Yes, it can be configured to Celsius and a 24-hour clock. For launch, it will be English only.

It does not. Sense is configured only once during installation and then works seamlessly in the background. It will automatically warn you if your environment isn’t ideal before you sleep, so you can adjust it.

Your Sleep Pill is fully independent from your partner’s Sleep Pill. Your Sleep Pill is intended to be used exclusively by you, as it measures your sleep patterns over time. The Sleep Pill isn’t tied to your phone; it is linked to your Hello account. Once you’ve installed the app on your phone, only your data will appear.

Sense can be optimized for one or two Sleep Pills. During installation, Sense links your Sleep Pill to your account. It also only connects to known Sleep Pills.

No. Sense is not synchronizing with your mobile phone during the night, so it does not need to be connected the whole time. You can even leave it off or outside the bedroom entirely.

Sense and the Sleep Pill detect when you are around, day or night, in order to provide you with an accurate Sleep Score from your environment. Sense works regardless of when you sleep. You just need to sleep.

Sense has built-in sound classification algorithms for a couple of valuable noises: snoring and sleep talking. It will also measure overall sound level for continuous noise. The microphone is located in Sense, not in the Sleep Pill.
