Thank you for being here, and reading this.
Euriah have gone through a lot of changes, as a band and as people. Working with C-U label Heirship Records, a lot of work has been put in both emotionally, financially, and creatively—to bring you the most meaningful and highest quality music possible.
Everyone helping us out by pre-ordering the album via Kickstarter will receive the digital downloads a week before the official release.
PASSENGER was recorded and mixed by Seth Engel (of Options, Coaster, The City on Film, and more), both at Earth Analog in Tolono, IL and at Minbal in Chicago. The drums were tracked to 2" tape there at Matt Talbott's studio, and after transferring them to digital, we left Earth Analog and tracked bass, guitars, and vocals at Minbal up north.
Check out the lead single, "Hesitation (Whirlwind)" here:
There were moments of stress, lightheartedness, despair, and absolute awe—at the creative process, how some beautiful things can be made out of tragic situations...and how working together, friends create things bigger than any of us.
The CDs come in matte digipaks, and were designed by Kurt Bielema/Single Stereo out of Urbana. The album art comes from photography by Jourdan L Cunningham, and glitch art by Alex Wloch. The vinyl LPs are test pressings—limited to 30 total—pressed by A to Z Media. The LP jackets and T-shirts are screenprinted by Thomas Lee Joseph Frye of Ogy Clothing/Weiskamp Screenprinting. The Passenger Acoustic cassettes are duplicated and imprinted by Audio Geography, with J-Cards made by Close Quarters Coalition.
Thank you for supporting Euriah and Heirship Records.
Risks and challenges
The record release show has yet to be booked, and the official release date therefore has yet to be announced; however, we will update as we know more.
Vinyl is notorious for taking a long time, and often experiencing delays; however, as this is only a limited run of test pressings, we are optimistic that we will have these LPs in long before the expected delivery date.
