Really like the presentation of the gear information. A little bit of lore set in there really helps to sell the universe. I know it's probably a lot of work and doesn't add too much to the game, but is it possible to present all the gears/frames like this? I fell like seeing the various platforms displayed like a sales brochure kind of helps immerse into that environment. I mean after all, we're all funding mini armies. It's almost like each manufacturer is trying to solicit our purchases (even though they're all produced by DP9). But to that end, it really helps us novices get into it quickly.
Sweetness. Keep motoring guys!
We aim to have the full color rulebook when it comes out up to the level of Forged in Fire. But for the Living Rulebook ebook that will be free to download, we want to make it printer friendly and easy to make updates to with a simpler layout.
Faq? What are those Faqs of what you speak? ;p
I ask because, in my opinion, forged in fire is one of the coolest looking books I one digitally. Just wanted to know I should expect more of the same!!
@Joe. No the Living Rulebook Beta won't be like Forged in Fire, we are trying to get it printer friendly so players can printout the ebook if they want at home and not use up all their ink or toner. The Forged in Fire layout is not printer friendly with all the black background pages with red-line images.
We have already announced in the Kickstarter FAQ the following about plans for a full color printed rulebook.
"Yes, we do plan on producing a full size Deluxe Edition Color Rulebook in the future and we promise to take the time to do it right, with top quality editing, before taking it to publication."
Love this pictures (especially for a gear noob like me!). A request for the creators: I recently downloaded forged in fire, and I love the production value! Will the finalized rule book in 2015 have look and 'feel'? What I'm referring to is the red-line 'schematics' of the forged in fire book
