IDEA
SOME STRANGE DISTURBANCES is a Victorian Horror comic and will be the 6th comic from Ignatz-nominated and Xeric Award Winning Headless Shakespeare Press. It is 56 pages with black & white interior art by Gervasio & Carlos Aon with full color covers by Tyler Smith Owings.
FUNDS
Funds are being raised to finish the artwork for SSD and, if we hit stretch goals, enhance the final book design (glow in the dark cover, cover flaps, etc).

WHY I CARE
This project has been a dream to work on. It reunites me with the art team from my 4th book, THE MAGIC IF: Gervasio and Carlos Aon. We have all grown in our skills since then, and I am excited for you all to see our new work.
The setting of Victorian London opens a lot of avenues for social commentary about the present day. In addition, the story is populated with characters who are indelible:
Prescott Mayfair, a closeted homosexual hiding from his family in America AND from the police in London, where being gay is an arrestable offense. Prescott comes from a line of psychics (usually the women in his family), and he is still not sure he accepts this gift.
Delilah Quinton, a black choral performer now in London as part of a sponsored choral group. Performing nightly, she uses her experiences from travelling across the United States with the Great Negro Mesmerist, Lord DuBois. In Victorian London, race is handled differently: as long as you are of a certain class, skin color is irrelevant. So as a celebrity, Miss Quinton has many privileges not afforded to others of her culture.
The Comtesse, a young woman thought to be possessed by her parents. They hire Prescott to investigate if she is lost to them. But the Comtesse has a deeper story that would be spoiled here.
PLAN OF ACTION
The cover and pencil art are completed, with inks now being completed. The book will be put together in late Fall 2018, and sent to press not long after. Books should arrive by February 2019. As noted before, this is my 6th book, so completion of projects will not be a problem.

STRETCH GOAL 1 ($4000): We will do a Glow-in-the-Dark cover.
Risks and challenges
OTHER POTENTIAL RISKS & CHALLENGES
Depending on timeline of completion of inks, the book will be finished by the end of 2018. Deadlines for the inks could delay the book; however, delays not anticipated.
Additionally, printing delays *could* occur, but are not anticipated.
