Thats right folks, we finished Blue Ruin!
After many months of rehearsals, studio sessions, meetings and emails about art and some serious time spent on the hand lettered and painted CD and LP design, we sent the final mix to David Glasser at Airshow Mastering earlier this month and now Blue Ruin is at the manufacturers. Whew. Check out the amazing cover art from Timothy Doyle below.
Some of you may have seen last week we announced the release date of July 9th, but as early supporters of Blue Ruin you will be getting the music, art and everything else as soon as we can finish it!
Surveys will go out starting today and into this week, look an email from Kickstarter. The survey will tell us all the important details we'll need to fulfill your Pledge Rewards, so don't delay in your reply.
Thanks again for all your support, we couldn't have done it without you!
Head for the Hills
Hello wonderful and patient Kickstarter Backers!
It's March and some of you may be wondering, "Where's my CD?" or "Did they ship my poster yet?" No need to worry, you have not been forgotten! As tends to happen with these things, deadlines have been pushed back and timelines have shifted, but the good news is Blue Ruin is going to be even better than we could have hoped!
Sometimes inspiration gets in the way, and you have to follow it. We've added another song--bringing the total to 12 new original tunes--and a bevy of special touches and guests. Trumpets, dobros, pedal steel, cello, all sorts of stuff. We'll be mastering at Airshow at the end of April and then we send Blue Ruin off to the manufacturers! We're still in the process of lining up release dates and events so we can't say much about that yet, but more information is coming soon.
Per Kickstarter's recommendation we're waiting to send out surveys (where we'll get your addresses and other important information) until we're a bit closer to shipping to avoid address changes and mailing difficulties but you'll be hearing from us ASAP.
Thanks for your support and patience, enjoy this recent studio photos!
As we enter the final stages of recording and mixing we wanted to share some images from our time at Swingfingers. We'll be getting surveys out to each of you in the coming weeks to gather the info we'll need to fulfill your rewards, but for now enjoy these photos!

It was down to the wire but things really came together at the end!
We'll be finishing recording in the next month; mastering, artwork and manufacturing come next. Look for song previews, photo blogs and more updates very soon.
