STRETCH GOAL UPDATE
We hit the $12,000 mark on Monday night! Our gratitude is overflowing right now.
It takes about $12,000 to make a record, but it takes more than that to make a record that is successful. We’re setting our stretch goal at $20,000. This extra money will help us put some finishing touches on the record in the studio, and also to help promote the record. With some extra cash, we might have the option to hire a publicist, do a radio campaign, or start a super solid youtube channel. These are all things that can help us get a record that we’re super proud of out to more people, which in turn will get us playing in front of more people.
Once again, thank you for the support. We’re really feeling the love. With each day that passes, we are one day closer to living our dreams.
We have been making music together since our second year of college. While many other incredible projects come and go, the music never seems quite as special as it does when it's just the two of us playing. There's a unique musical chemistry between us.
This truly is a passion project for us. These songs have been written, arranged and performed over the past five years, but this will be the first time that they will be recorded. They have grown so much over time and we really feel that they're ready to be shown to the world.
We have assembled a truly exceptional team to help us with this record:
- Aaron Youngberg at Swingfingers Studios is producing, engineering and mixing the record.
- Kyle Ussery of Flat Nine Designs has filmed our kickstarter video.
- Erin Youngberg will be playing bass on a few of our songs.
- David Glasser at Airshow Mastering will be mastering the record.
And last, but not least, YOU! You will be helping us reach our Kickstarter goal in order to make this record happen. You may be the most important team member that we have.
Pre-production has already begun and we are gearing up for five full days at Swingfingers Studio in Fort Collins in mid-September.
We have lined up ten tracks that are very special to us: primarily original music, with a couple covers and traditional tunes as well.
Thank you so much for visiting our kickstarter campaign page. We hope that you'll want to be a part of this project that is so near and dear to us. Please share www.helphazelhue.com with whoever you think may be interested.
Risks and challenges
Raising funds for independent artists is not easy, but we feel that since we have such a strong community surrounding us, we are very confident in our abilities to raise these funds.
We have a couple of fundraising concerts happening in Colorado, and one in Boise, Idaho during our kickstarter campaign, if you're interested in attending, or if you have any questions about this project, please don't hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Kickstarter is an all or nothing crowdsourcing platform. If we don't reach our goal, your card will not be charged, and we will receive none of the contributed money.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
