About this project
Andy made a deal with a demon.
He manages a small but ambitious Italian eatery called Scoppa. The demon's black magic lures patrons to the restaurant; in return, Andy feeds guests to the demon, who dwells in the basement. It was all going smoothly, business was booming, reviews were glowing...
Until the busboy found out.
We are raising money to shoot the kind of horror film we'd want to see: scary, funny, and campy. The tone will be similar to such classics as Ghostbusters, The Evil Dead, The Frighteners, and An American Werewolf in London. We are a small cast and crew and we intend to make as tight a film as possible, shooting in a smart and efficient manner.
The project will be filmed from October 3rd through October 18th of 2015. After that, we expect several months of post-production before having the final cut completed by summer of 2016. We will then submit the finished film to festivals and begin the path to distribution.
Our teaser trailer is the opening of the film. Want to see what happens next?

WHERE THE MONEY IS GOING
Our fundraising goal of $18,000 includes $2,250 for sound recording; $7,500 for cameras, lenses and a DP; $1,200 for makeup and effects; $2,400 for craft services; $2,000 for paying the principal cast; and $3,000 for insurance. This will enable us to get the film in the can.
Risks and challenges
One of the first challenges once we obtain funding will be securing locations and insurance. This is always a large undertaking with any production, however our location needs are very manageable, so we are confident they can be met.
Another challenge will be scheduling principal photography around the conflicts that inevitably come up for the entire cast and crew. We will need to determine whether we should shoot everything in one chunk or break up our shooting days over a slightly longer timeframe.
The most fun "challenge" will be designing the special effects, makeup, and creature effects.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
