Help us tell the remarkable story of Amadou & Mariam, the blind couple from Mali whose love and music is changing the world.
The story of Amadou and Mariam is one of love, music, and perseverance. Originally promoted as "The Blind Couple from Mali," Amadou and Mariam began making musical history together shortly after their marriage in 1980. They have opened for superstars such as U2 and Coldplay, and have collaborated with artists such as Manu Chao, TV on the Radio, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Nick Zinner, Jack Shears of the Scissor Sisters and many more.
But these two are not only Grammy-nominated musicians, they are also humanitarians. They understand the bitter taste of misfortune and seek to improve the lives of those less fortunate than themselves. In addition to their close work with the Save The Children and End Water Poverty, Amadou and Mariam have been ambassadors for Sightsavers since 2006, a charity with the mission to eliminate preventable blindness and to gain equality for people with disabilities.
Theirs is a story of love, music, perseverance and fate; help us share their amazing tale with the world. Due to Amadou and Mariam's schedule we need to begin filming in Mali by August 2013; pledge your support today.

In order to create the best, most accurate film we can, we will be going to Mali to film portions of the documentary. With Amadou & Mariam escorting us, we don't anticipate problems, but anything can happen. We understand the risks of filming in such a hostile environment and hope you do as well.
