After being forced with an ability that causes his consciousness to transfer into other people via skin contact, Sam must infiltrate the mysterious company CogniTech to try to locate his original body.
The film joins Sam as he sneaks into an evening event hosted by CogniTech. He has to use his ability to transfer into the various guests of the party. Waiters, security guards, a wealthy business men and a beautiful woman all find themselves as Sam's disguises as he manipulates and obtains information about the location of his body. Sam finds himself sneaking into back passageways, entering restricted areas and getting into fights, all in pursuit of his goal.
However, hot on his tail is Head of CogniTech's Security, Logan. Logan is one of the few people who is aware of Sam's unique ability and he will do anything to stop him returning to his original body.
Sam will encounter other key characters along his journey, however information regarding them will be revealed at a later date.
With Prime Contact we want to make a full on Genre Film: high paced, high octane, with exciting action sequences and an unique Sci-fi story. Ultimately we want to throw off the shackles of 'student films' stereotypes and make a 'fun' short film that audiences will enjoy. We want to go away from the typical slow paced character dramas and to make a film that is similar to the films we loved while growing up.
If you like Bourne, Bond, Die Hard, or the Terminators this film will be for you. With your help we hope we can make something memorable.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
The reason we are here on Kickstarter is because we need your help to fund a portion of the budget. We have self financed a major part already but this money will be going towards the large number of fixed production costs, such as accommodation, travel and food for the cast and crew. For an ambitious 9 day shoot such as Prime Contact, these costs really add up!
What this means is that we are struggling to find the funds to help sell the world of the film. We want to make this film as professional as we can and to do that we need professional production design.
We need to make our party seem like a real party, we need CogniTech to feel like a real company and we need our location to look like a genuine high tech science facility.
To do this we will need to invest in props, wardrobe, locations and set design. Essentially, everything you see on screen will be where your money is going; hand scanners, event decorations, futuristic outfits, fight choreographers. Additionally, your money will also help go towards the technical aspects of telling the story; lights, cameras and other such equipment.
We already have some concept art and preliminary art work for how we are want the event to look and we will be revealing this over the next few weeks! However if you are a budding artist and want to be involved, contact us as we would love to hear your ideas!
We have already got a key crew of seven dedicated people on this project and over the past couple of years we have worked on numerous short film projects. Our films have ranged from detective thrillers to emotional monologues to personal dramas. We have come together to create this film as we all believe that it has the potential to be something special and something different to anything we have seen before.
The Crew Includes:
Andrew Kueh - Director

Risks and challenges
Like any production, our project is filled with risks and challenges and due to the ambitious nature of this project these risks are somewhat heightened. However we are completely dedicated to this project and want to see it out to its fullest potential. The higher the risks the greater the rewards, and we have some ambitious plans for this film after it is made.
What is more, as this is our graduation film it means that we have to get it made in some shape or form to pass our University Degree. This means no matter what, we will be making this film in February. However the extent of your generosity will directly effect the overall quality of the final film. We don't want to make a substandard film just as much as you do not want to watch a substandard film, so your contribution is vital.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
