The XproHeli XPG brushless gimbal is a versatile handheld or aerial GoPro camera stabilization system designed to capture stunningly smooth video.
The XPG allows the aerial video enthusiast to capture great footage regardless of the weather conditions or the skill level of the pilot.
Our quest to develop the "ultimate" gimbal stabilization system came after months of designing, prototyping, and re-designing. We finally came up with the XPG - A multifunction brushless gimbal system. The XPG is compatible with several popular multirotor platforms and has optional mounting accessories for use on bikes, cars and hand held work.
No programming is required. New XPG users will own a product that delivers smooth camera action right out of the box. Best of all, it's affordable with an anticipated MSRP of $399.
What is the XProHeli XPG?
The XPG is a self stabilizing two-axis brushless gimbal that is used to achieve extremely smooth camera motions. It is an easy to use device that eliminates shaky video and allows handheld users or RC pilots to capture very stable video with relative ease.

Why is this product on Kickstarter?
XProHeli has never taken out a loan or asked for money to operate. We have always been bootstrapping since from the beginning.
Funds raised will be used to finalize the XPG Beta prototype and pay for tooling to begin volume manufacturing. We need Kickstarter funds in order to manufacture this product in volume. With your help we will be able to produce the XPG at an affordable price.
Once the project is funded our manufacturer in Bend, Oregon will begin laser cutting and building the XPG frames. Those parts will then be transported a couple blocks to the XProHeli HQ and be 100% assembled and configured. We will be ready to ship the first 100 XPGs as soon as Kickstarter campaign is finished (it pays to be an early supporter!). After the first batch is made and sent out, we will be working on the next batch of XPG gimbals.

Being professional videographers, our story began during a video shoot when a contracted RC helicopter pilot was hired to film aerial shots in the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon. That guy never showed up. So we (Hans and Wes) decided to take matters into our own hands and began researching ways to capture high quality aerial video with relative safety and cost. One thing led to the next and before long we were pushing homebuilt quadcopters to the limit. Even losing one in a large waterfall (Tumalo Falls)...whoops! Through hundreds of hours of trial and error, our mission to achieve high quality aerial video for our own use, led to the creation of XProHeli with a custom product line of high quality multirotors and accessories for the RC aerial video enthusiast.
Our current XP2 Quadcopter kicks serious butt and provides a super stable platform for vibration free aerial video but it is met with challenges - the learning curve of smooth flying and flying on days with little to no wind.

Risks and challenges
How are we going to use the money to make the gimbal?
Kickstarter funds will enable us to:
- Finish the final design for manufacturing - 3d drawings, software configuration, and testing
- Manufacture in bulk to reduce costs - setup production time, bulk manufacture electronic components, bulk manufacturer frames components
- Kickstarter will also help use estimate the total demand for the XPG gimbal. This will insure that everyone who wants one can get one as soon as possible.
XProHeli will be shipping first 100 XPG units within 30 DAYS (Mid August)
We anticipate that the 2nd bulk order release will begin shipping 2 weeks after.
