Fishbone :: a short film about beating the odds...literally
I am an independent filmmaker in the midst of production of a micro-budget short film titled Fishbone. It is a dark comedy that follows a middle-class woman named Jill as she plays scratch tickets in a feeble attempt to pay for a funeral for her husband, who she inadvertently murders.
Half the film was shot in November 2011. I'm excited about what we've shot so far! But I need some help to finish it up. As the film has been fully funded out-of-pocket so far, I've run out of money, putting production on hiatus.
The remainder of production is set for the end of February and Early March. The money I raise between now and March 1st will help me pay for equipment rental and go toward other production costs such as insurance, location fees and craft services.
It will also benefit post production sound mixing, color grading and festival fees.
