Half Truth is a party game for all ages and people, created by legendary game designer Richard Garfield and 74-time Jeopardy winner Ken Jennings. With art by well-known artist Ian O'Toole, the game comes with 500 trivia question cards and each card has a category on it, like "Animals with blue tongues." There are six possible answers, three right and three wrong, and players have to place bets on answers they believe are correct. Players are usually surprised by how well they do. We're all smarter than we think.
The game has been evolving for the past 13 years. It's been a process of writing questions, playtesting them and figuring out how the scoring works best.
The game was initially called Inconceivable! but after several iterations, we decided to go with the name Half Truth since it ties more closely with gameplay.

Please note that we will be charging shipping after the Kickstarter concludes via the Backerkit platform.
Once the campaign concludes, we will send out surveys via Backerkit to collect your delivery address. After your final pledge is in, we will calculate the shipping based on your address and any add-ons that you might have included. Shipping varies depending on the country, state and even county that you are in, so it's hard for us to charge a flat shipping rate for everyone.
The Kickstarter pledges will ship from four locations:
- US: for all domestic orders and Canada orders
- UK: for all EU and ROW orders
- AU: for all Australia and New Zealand orders
Risks and challenges
In developing the game we have been obsessive with the details throughout designing, prototyping, and planning for production so we can get the game to all of you ASAP. Unfortunately, there is always the chance that things can go wrong.
In the event that there are any changes, whether it's a delay in the manufacturing timeline, shipping date, or something else, we promise to communicate honestly with you and work around the clock until we correct the issue.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
