Halfbike is best suited for riding on flat ground and gentle slopes. Going up a steep hill takes some sweat and effort but if you're looking for exercise you'll certainly get it. When we say gentle inclines we mean gradients up to 4%. Adding gears will make it easier to pedal uphill but anything over 6-7% will remain quite a physical exercise. On the other hand riding down a hill feels really great! That's your reward for the hard time going up. :)
We've tested the Halfbike with various riders and we can put the comfort range in between 5' 2'' and 6' 4'' tall (155-190 cm) and weighing up to 200 pounds (90 kg). This are some basic guidelines though since this is mostly a matter of personal feel and comfort. Note that taller or heavier people find riding a Halfbike to be less comfortable.
