About this project
Mothers day is soon, make these, they are somewhere in between brownies and fudge! Message me with any questions you might have!
Healthy as a Hipster is a cookbook I wrote. I came up with the idea for this book because my friends and family are now picking up healthier eating habits, and I wanted to give them a more approachable way to learn how to cook. While I was doing this, my sister started to paint things that went along with the theme of the book, so I threw them in. We had a mix of food and art, basically a hipster's eating manual.
I put this book together for home cooks that are looking to eat healthier and prefer a more visual approach to learning. I wrote this in such a way that ever step is detailed but at the same time does not overload you with needless information. Almost every step has an picture to go along with it.
This is a book that aims to help you cook impressive meals for friends and family that are, for the most part healthy. All Recipes are labeled with Gluten free, Paleo, Vegan or Vegetarian and in most cases Multiples of each (check beside recipe name). Simple recipes that don't require lots of strange ingredients or tools you just don't have or can't find. Also, included is original artwork,to make the book more enjoyable.
This is a lightweight book, there are no 400 slight variations of the same thing just several easy to make recipes that are all good.
• To pay for the production of the Books which will be 5.5" x 8.5", made out of 70% recycled materials, and produced by a local independent company.
• To pay for the printing of the books and art, as well as the shipping costs involved.
• Money will go to Victoria, The Artist, for all the work she has done.
• I am hoping that, if you guys like this project, I can do more issues, this is factored into my final cost.
Yes, Thank you for viewing my Project and Please share it, or maybe buy a few copies as gifts (someone needs to fund my cooking habit).
Risks and challenges
The one and only risk this project faces is that we could potentially get so overloaded with orders that the printing house could not keep up. I do have a second printing house lined up if needed, but we would need to sell about 5000 books to get that backed up.
I also guess I could trip and fall on the way to the post office, in that case I have a clone lined up to step in, he's a little crass but he can get the job done.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
