112% Funded. Thank you.
At 4:30pm on Friday 6 November 2015, we tipped over our target of $8,000. When the campaign ended at 10:07am on Tuesday 10 November 2015, we were 112% funded ($8,972).
What a fabulous effort and thank you so much for your generous support.

To top it off, our modest journey was featured in the Australian Financial Review as well as the BRW (below):
Many thanks to Fiona Smith at Fairfax Media for covering our story!
Translations of the first book
After some celebratory bubbly and a 10-hour nap, I began working with translators on the first book. I am pleased to say that the first draft of the 中文 version is complete. Further, the Español version is currently underway.
As we continue our search for a rockstar Arabic translator, we are confident that all three translations will be ready by March 2016.
As some of you may know, I am fascinated by the concept of tangential learning and passionate about using emergent technology to eradicate child illiteracy. The face of education is changing rapidly. Start-ups like Smart Sparrow and institutions like AltSchool are all working to develop adaptive, individualised courses that empower teachers and engage students.
I hope in the not-so-distant future, I can partner with educational organisations to create interactive books that not only improve literacy but also support foreign language learning.
For now, buckle up and get ready to travel to New Orleans. Remember to follow us on Facebook so you get the latest updates.
