The final week of the Vendetta Online Kickstarter!
We're into our final week, and we're aiming to hit the ground running with a major announcement and update that will go out in the next 12 hours, which I think will be pretty exciting. We're also going to be adding a bunch of cool new rewards and things, some of them thanks to game-industry friends of mine who have come forward to offer their help.
I'd also like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who has pledged thus far, especially those of you who have come in with major increases recently. You guys inspire me, and I can't thank you enough.
We've had some challenges with outreach. Some sites we thought would be excited by our project have not covered us; and unlike many of our space-game contemporaries (even the smaller ones), Kickstarter themselves never chose us for a "staff pick" or featuring, which has a massive statistical impact on success (infographic at bottom of link).
But this just means we need to push harder! We're nearly to 40% funding, which already puts us well beyond the vast majority of Kickstarters, with around a 70% chance of success, and in a solid position for this coming week. Although it may sound surprising, Kickstarters can change very quickly towards the end of a campaign, enthusiasm tends to beget enthusiasm, and we'll be pulling out every possible stop to make this happen. We need your help to do this! I'll be sending out small updates over the week with suggestions and requests for anyone who would like to get involved in helping us spread the word. And, of course, as always feel free to post about us on twitter, facebook, your favorite forum, or email friends/family. It's entirely up to you, and we appreciate anything you can do, but we're going to need all the help we can get. Together, we can make this happen!
