Funding Unsuccessful

This project's funding goal was not reached on on .

Help fund the next generation in space MMOs! Completely realtime combat, realistic physics, with a single universe for all platforms.

Graphics updates, new rendering technology and gameplay impact.

Hello Kickstarters! I've made an effort to lay out some of our graphics and rendering technology roadmap in detail (Youtube version here), to try and answer the related questions that you've posted and sent us since we launched the Kickstarter. I hope this helps illuminate what we're trying to build, along with why this funding will be so important to our goals.

FYI that when I talk about some possible graphics that might be PC-only, that simply means that they'll launch on the PC. As mobile devices increase in power, we'll back-propagate changes when they become realistic for the platforms, much as we have already.

Also, by PC-only I mean as differentiated from mobile. "PC" includes Windows, Mac and Linux.

Please continue to post or send in questions and I'll aim to address them in coming videos.

Nice 2 updates and $5K in the sum in 1-2 days :-)

@ZikZak you already can hide behind a 'roid. Asteroid occlusion is already in the game.

Great ! The possibility to hide from radar behind object is excellent !
I ho ethat your are not planning to replace your engine with a third-party one (I'm looking at you Unity4 !) because you really have a nice engine right now and it stood up quite well for a 10 years old software.
I'm glad you are improving the graphics in the current engine, a better looking game without having to upgrade hardware and for the VO2.0 I sincerely hope that computers will not require a tremendous power to run the game.

Sleepy time - the footage on the main kickstarter pitch wasnt enough? It's all in there

Hey Inc, could you do a video showing what it looks like on a PC, MAC, Tablet, Phone and Windows RT device? that way we could see how different or how they are the same. might help people see what is what and help KS do better.

I definitely meant PC in the sense of laptops and desktops, as differentiated from lightweight mobile devices; not as a specific reference to Windows. Thanks for pointing that out, I've updated the post to clarify.

Very interesting video. But I was slightly dismayed when I heard you say that all these shining graphical effects "may be PC-only".

Why? I don't care that much about my Galaxy S3, although having Vendetta on there is certainly a nice gimmick. I do however care about my Linux laptop and an iMac I'm planning to buy in the next half year.

So: Does "PC" here mean "desktops and laptops" as opposed to phones et al. Or is it codeword of "Windows-only"?
