The CPRO measures acceleration, force, angular velocity, magnetic field, pressure, altitude, and temperature. Our SDK lets you easily download/view data, control the device, and create complex data filters or triggers based on sensor data.

WHAT IS METAWEAR CPRO?
MetaWear CPRO is a tiny, coin-cell powered, Bluetooth Low Energy Sensor Platform with an SDK so you can program it wirelessly using your Smartphone.
The CPRO board is based on the nRF51822 SOC from Nordic built around an ARM® Cortex™ M0 CPU and Bluetooth Low Energy.
Built on top of our successful MetaWear C, the CPRO is an ultra-miniature board with even more features, including 10 axis of motion sensing powered by a coin cell.
The CPRO board comes with the following sensors:
- BMI160 Accelerometer
- BMI160 Gyroscope
- BMM150 Magnetometer
- BMP280 Pressure
- LTR-329ALS Ambient Light
- BMP280 Temperature and redundancy thermistor
Additional sensors can be attached via the general purpose I/O pins. There is also an LED and push button switch on the board.
You can download the 3D MCAD model to make your own case or just to check out how small this thing is. The CPRO is just 24mm in diameter and 3 mm in height with the battery. The datasheet is also available here: MetaWearCPSv0.5
The CPRO has on board flash memory (for 15,000 sensor data entries) so you can log sensor data and download it to your phone later.
The battery lasts up to several months on a single CR2032 coin cell.
WHY ANOTHER VERSION OF METAWEAR?
We have been creating wearable sensors for a while now and the most common requests from our last campaign was to offer a 9 axis version with magnetometer. We stepped up our game and are proud to present the PRO version with not just 9, but 10-axis of motion sensing (hint: the 10th axis is the altimeter).
We waited as long as possible for our sensor vendors to get their $%$# together and release their integrated 9-axis IMU but they never did. So we took matters into our own hands and made prototypes with a discrete mag, on top of the already proven the MetaWearC, to create the ultimate wearable sensor platform. Now that we are ready to manufacture, we are back on Kickstarter to offer you the latest and greatest.
That means the CPRO is production ready right now and you will get it just two months after the campaign ends.
HOW DO I USE THE METAWEAR CPRO?
Our motto as always been to let you focus on the App or product while we take care of the rest.
We have also updated our SDKs and firmware with additional functionalities, making it easier than ever to make a MetaWear do what you want.
MetaWear CPRO is updated and programmed wirelessly by any Bluetooth Smart device (that includes laptops, tablets, phones...).
Our open-source mobile SDKs expose all the sensors and peripherals in an intuitive way, so your App can easily:
- Read temperature data
- Notify on freefall
- Log gyroscope data at 800Hz
- Stream accelerometer data at 200Hz
- Sound an alarm when a button is pressed
- Adjust the volume of your Bluetooth speaker when the MetaWear is shaken
- and infinitely more!

THE METAWEAR STORY
After we successfully delivered our first campaign, MetaWear, ahead of schedule, we listened to our amazing users. Our last campaign for the C was awesome and there was a lot of demand for the CPRO; you really busted our ba!!s about that magnetometer.
And so with your ideas, feedback, and our learnings, we are back!
Risks and challenges
From the company that brought you MetaWear, MetaSensors, and MetaWear C. Our previous campaigns were not only successfully funded but they were delivered on time or early every time!
There are always significant challenges in manufacturing and delivering any hardware product at scale. Fortunately, we've have been working hard and have established relationships with manufacturing partners in the US that will help us bring Metawear to your doorstep.
Of course, there are still risks associated with producing the Metawear board. Unexpected changes in component lead times, availability, and cost are examples of factors outside our direct control that could affect our delivery timeline, but we are working hard to mitigate those risks and plan to be transparent throughout the delivery process.
There are additional risks involved with the physical delivery of your reward. There are a number of unforeseen circumstances that can cause problems during the actual physical shipping of the Metawear boards. Since unforeseen circumstances can sometimes impact the shipping world, we will also make sure to have methods/resources in place to overcome any difficulties.
