Work in Progress Wednesday 7: Making the World to Change

Posted by Grimlord Games (Creator)

Dear backers,

Ch…Ch….Chhhh….Chaaaanges.....To Our Change!

Just a short update today to show that we at Grimlord really like to listen to our backers! After seeing several individuals suggesting having variable backs for the different coins in Everrain we went right back to our lovely graphic designers and began plotting!

COIN BACK WIPS - See, proof that we listen! Now please don't tell our wives.
COIN BACK WIPS - See, proof that we listen! Now please don't tell our wives.

Whilst we’re working on this and waiting for our sculptors to make the necessary changes to the sculpts per our suggestions and, some of yours, we just wanted to keep you informed of what was going on over here!

Così tanto tempo e grazie per tutto il pesce, Italiano

Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to secure an Italian Language Publisher of the Everrain. Unlike German language, the numbers for demand are sufficient to self-produce this. (As the title for this no doubt proves, we aren’t very good with alternate languages…..)

This means we are going to be unable to offer this to our backers at this time. We know that this may be disappointing to some of our backers but unfortunately the cost of translation and production just doesn’t have the numbers for us to break even without a publisher being involved.

Paperback Writer!

We’ve had our wonderful graphic artist working hard on getting the pages for the art book mocked up, however, we’ve hit a small delay whilst we organising a few things for the book itself, so we’re hoping to have a WIP Wednesday dedicated to this soon.

In this update, we'll also look at the Trait system and why the art book has value for those who want to more gameplay and not just the aesthete's among you!

      Italian joke appreciated.
Does the font on the coins spell anything out?

    2. David Glock on

      Thanks @Grimlord Games ... appreciate that a lot :)

      @David Glock and @Κώστας Κατέρος

We'll have videos coming soon, we're waiting on getting a nice production quality model from China but this wont take as long as you might think and we will definitely have some videos before the pledge manager closes.

    4. Sascha on

I'm sad that there will not be the Italian version :(

    5. David Glock on

Am I the only one who's thinking.... you're focusing on a small (somewhat insignificant) detail, when most of us are still waiting on a full detailed gameplay overview? Surely you have a prototype, that can be played, and someone has a phone camera.

The coins are wonderful !! It really saddens me that an Italian translation will not be made ...
I offer myself to translate the game so as to reduce production costs.
I already have experience in this regard. If you consider my proposal PM me.

Is there any chance to see a gameplay video from a reviewer before the pledge manager close?

Awesome! Thank you so much for listening to backers feedback. A little aesthetic change like that makes a huge difference for those of us that went All in.
