Greyman has created a brand new show with the help of Director/Playwright Kelsey Ervi, and it's been accepted into Dallas' Out of the Loop Fringe Festival and WE NEED YOUR HELP to get it there.
In order to put up the show in March, we need at least $500! We can't do it without you and any donation will help us meet our goal in just 30 days!
ABOUT WAKING UPWAKING UP is a humourous and heartfelt look at what happens before and after we sleep. The short play gives a glimpse into the lives of 11 people. It captures trust, doubt, fear, and love, and shows the characters at their most comfortable and their most vulnerable. WAKING UP touches on the emotions beneath the things we wake up for or go to bed with and the reasons we don't wake up at all.
ABOUT OUR COMPANY AND PRODUCTION
Greyman Theatre Company marked its first season in 2010-2011 with the regional premieres of Kooman & Dimond's DANI GIRL and HOMEMADE FUSION. After a successful run of DANI GIRL at WaterTower Theatre's Out of the Loop Fringe Festival in 2011, Greyman is mounting WAKING UP at the Festival in March 2012 in Addison, Texas.
ABOUT THE OUT OF THE LOOP FRINGE FESTIVAL
The Festival provides opportunities for existing and emerging theatre, dance, and music companies and artists to present work that may vary in form and presentation from their typical content. Together, these companies provide the North Dallas and surrounding areas with a diverse range of artistic endeavors. The Festival typically hosts around 20 organizations presenting over 50 individual performances and drawing 3,000-5,000 arts lovers each year.
Although we have set our fundraising goal here to $500, roughly $1,500 would be able to ensure Greyman's future and support future productions. Kickstarter is an "all-or-nothing" scenario. In other words, if we do not raise $500 by the deadline, we do not receive even one penny... and you do not pay one penny. That being said, we need your help and support to achieve the $500 threshold and surpass it before the given deadline.
