If I get $1000, I release a 9500 word novella about cannibalism, kung fu, and poor choices on New Years' Eve to everyone, for free.
Several months ago, Ghostwoods Press released my novel, SWITCHFLIPPED, as an eBook. People like it -- here's a few lines from unsolicited reviews on Amazon.com.
"The first chapter is mysterious, sexy, and funny all at the same time"
"[I]t's to Stolze's credit that we feel some sympathy with virtually every character."
"Greg Stolze creates an interesting world that compels you to read more. I love the concept of the world and there is defiantly room for a great sequel to this book."
Despite disappointing sales*, I wasn't ready to be done with the setting, and one day I woke up with an idea for a short follow-up that just wouldn't let me go. So I wrote it, and now I'm offering it to you. If you all (collectively) give me $1000, I'll release that novella sequel for free, for everyone. (If you've supported my stories before, you know that they're available online. If you haven't, click that link and poke around at the stuff generous patrons before you have funded.)
This is clearly risky: As it stands, "7 and 7" is only going to appeal to people who bought a book that... well... hasn't sold brilliantly. So I'll level with you. I'm hoping this is a chance to remedy that. If you direct your attention to the sidebar, you'll see a list of fine premiums available for pledging at assorted levels, including... copies of SWITCHFLIPPED!
If you haven't bought it yet, this is the best deal you're going to see for some time.
If you're already a reader, I hope you're in the mood for more.
